Customer service??? NO. Grumpy old man is still there. today he insisted I pay before deciding what I wanted and was very annoyed that I was taking my time looking at the ice cream. He was so obnoxious that I left and bought my ice cream elsewhere.
Rude owner. I just had a terrible experience at Sara’s Ice Cream Parlour in Ladner. The owner refused to give my 3 year old daughter an ice cream cone with sprinkles on it. He claimed it to be a health code safety issue although we have been going to this ice cream parlour for 3 years and we have always been able to receive it this way. When I questioned the inconsistency he slammed his employees by saying they are disobeying and doing it wrong! I explained that I understood the health issue but know they are numerous ways that you can get around actually dipping the ice cream in the sprinkles and he then told me that the sprinkles would go every where and be wasted! Lol, so he is more concerned about the pennies he may be losing from a fews spilt sprinkles then customer satisfaction and loyalty. I have to be honest, I will never set foot back in the place. The experience absolutely blew my mind, for an owner of a kids candy/ice cream parlour to act that way. Best of luck to anyone that wants to try it out, hopefully you go when the old man (who when I called to ask his name after leaving, wouldn’t give it to me! Mature right?)
Hey everyone, I have heard a lot about the grumpy old man who works at Sara’s but I am happy to say he doesn’t work there as much as he used to. The owners seem to be letting the younger workers work there more now and they have always been such a pleasure whenever I have come in with my family. I urge you to continue supporting our local businesses despite your previous bad experience because I have to say I love Sara’s and it has been a wonderful part of both my childhood and my motherhood and I think it would be tragic to see a nice place like that leave our community.
Awful. I am very sad to say, I will never return to Sara’s Ice Cream. The ice cream is very tasty and me and my wife quite enjoy it. However, Everytime we go there, we are met with the worst service. We decided to go for ice cream after a lovely dinner with friends. Our experience was anything but a positive one. We where greeted by a grumpy older man, who was rude and unhelpful. We seemed toMore of an annoyance then someone looking to gain our buisness. Along with buying Ice Cream, we decided to partake in some 5 cent candies, where the oldGrump choose to dump out all the candy and count it on the dirty table with his dirty hands. I’m 28, am I going toLie about $1.50 worth of candy?! My wife and I will not be returning until Sara’s Ice Cream decides to hire staff that doesn’t make us feel like an annoyance.
Amazing icecream, candy, and great service! Sara’s ice cream has quality products at a really reasonable price. And they have PINK ELEPHANT POPCORN! Definitely worth the trip to Lander!!!
