Service was very good- attentive and pleasant. Food not so much. Bison burger was ok, salmon burger and calamari were mediocre. Unlikely to return.…

What amazing service!!! Everyone so very friendly. Relaxed and fun atmosphere. Great food. We all had something different from fish and chips to pasta..and everyone of us thoroughly enjoyed their meal!!! A plus!
This place is pretty amazing! We went for the special – choose 1 protein and two sides. I believe each day, they would have different choices. We chose meatloaf, mashed potatoes, and perogies with sour cream. I had wanted their baked beans as one of my sides, but they were running low and wouldn’t have anymore as they were closing soon. However, the big plate of food was definitely very satisfying! In addition, it is super affordable as it was all for under $10! My friend and I shared the plate and we were satisfied and stuffed when the plate was cleared. The food was very tasty and flavourful and I enjoyed every bite! The gravy on the mashed potato wasn’t too salty either. Everything was cooked to pretty much perfection. I would suggest sharing a plate as they give you generous portions. The guy who helped us was also very friendly. This place is great for some comfort food too. I’d definitely be back! secondspls.blogspot.com
First time visit to Sharkeys. Had the Ladner Express Steamer for 18.99. Included 1/2 lb each of West coast mussels and clams as well as 1/4 lb of tiger prawns in a white wine sauce. First impression when it’s presented is impressive. Comes in a round roasting pan… Looks great. Unfortunately, my seafood was slightly overcooked. Edible, but overcooked. Sauce was somewhat tame but didn’t overwhelm the seafood flavours. Severed with two nice multigrain buns for soaking up the sauce. Next time I’ll try the entreesAmbiance (fishing dock) and service was really great. Good food, good times, great staff.
Fish and chips batter is too thick. Front reception people, especially the owner, were quite rude to customers waiting for tables or takeout this evening. I understand it was busy, but there is no excuse for this behaviour. Clearly there is some arrogance in that they don’t really have any competition there. Too bad Ladner is so limited.
Great lunch prices & great patio!Ordered the calamari & fries for lunch & it only came out to about $12. The God was YUMMY!
Great atmosphere, great staff and excellent food. We moved to Ladner almost a year ago. We started going to Sharkeys for drinks and appetizers on the way home on Friday nights (and still do). When they opened their balcony in summer we were very pleasantly surprised and have often turned up weekends for lunch and/or drinks and appetizer on the deck. As we’re not originally from Canada, we like to bring our visitors, both family and good friends, here for great food that is more elevated than you might expect (but very reasonable cost), and the relaxed and friendly atmosphere. As a gentle warning, if you turn up without a reservation on Friday night in winter, it can be fairly busy and you may have to wait a bit – but the staff are really lovely about that. The owner Andrea is an awesome guy and he seems to genuinely care about his customers (us included) and staff. Highly recommended.
Sad appy. Ordered yam fries appy portion is pretty sad
