Got take out from this place today solely on the reviews here. Absolutely the best American Mexican food I’ve ever eaten! Everything is made from scratch, every bite delicious and mouth watering. Even the salsa and hot sauce was home made. Very nice. I get tired of places that use prefab-processed food. Portions are big, prices reasonable. Staff friendly. The only reason I didn’t give a 5 is because the sauces. Salsa and hot sauce containers are not big enough for the amount of food served. And (yes I know avocados are expensive) a $1.50 for two tablespoons of guacamole? Tsk. Why are you still reading this? GO NOW!You’ll be happy and full!
Huge fan of the food here. Always fresh and made to order. Staff is young but great. Take out or eat in. We will always came back to this jem.
I have to say walking into a Mexican restaurant called Gringos in a small strip mall in Langford with no mexican staff in sight I was expecting the worst but with the authentic feel of the tables and decor I decided to give it a try. The menu had a large amount of less authentic americanized mexican food like burritos and wraps but. I ordered the chimmichanga 7 layer dip and Mexico spuds (all non authentic choices.) The food I tried was excellent everything I tasted was from scratch including the refried beans, the chips were fresh made, even the mexi spuds were made in house. I was expecting potatoe tots with some mexican spices, instead got these delicious hand made deep fried potatoe morsels filled with cheese and a hint of jalapeo. This place is a high 4.5 in my mind and in my opinion, one of the best mexican places in the city. The next time I go out to Langford for food Gringos is where I am stopping.
I’ve been to a few Mexican restaurants in Victoria, and none of them quite hit the spot the way 3 Gringos did. Their food is excellent. It’s better than any fast food Mexican restaurant I’ve ever been to. The service is great; the employees are extremely friendly and accommodating. The only negative thing I have to say about this restaurant is that the portions are a little bit small. Therefore this restaurant is probably better for lunch or a quick snack!
Excellent Mexican food! Love coming here for a quick bite to eat. The portions aren’t very big, so it’s not great for dinner. But for a small lunch it’s perfect. The staff are very friendly too!
Staff are always very friendly and the food is delicious! Love the mexi spuds, and the wraps and rice and bean bowl are fantastic, and for a lighter dish the chicken avocado salad is a great choice
Some of the best Mexican food around! Such a colourful, fun place for a quick bite with friends and family. Service was beyond friendly and helpful, and the food was well priced and delicious! So many options, it’s a must try! 🙂
