Pretty standard fair. Nothing amazing for sure but passable for sushi and Japanese food. Had a dynamite roll and smoked salmon nigiri. Roll was ok, a little bland. Nigiri was a little strange in the texture. Not the typical melt in your mouth texture Im typically used to. Miso soup was great though. Biggest plus for this place was service was A+. Fast and attentive. Would I go back? Its a 50/50

I went in on a quiet Sunday around noon. I’d never eaten there before. I ordered the deluxe bento with beef and spicy tuna roll.The service was prompt and attentive, so I have no complaints there. The decor is a bit boring but everything is clean and modern.The bento box came within 15 minutes. Most of the beef was good but some larger pieces were extremely chewy and I had to spit them out. The spicy tuna roll was not spicy at all. The tuna was fresh, though, and the roll was nicely made.I would go there again but would try something else.
One of my fav’s!. I live up the road, so I eat here once or twice a month. It’s very modern and clean – great atmosphere. The staff are always efficient and friendly and the food is great. I always get a bento box with steak sauce for the rice…addicting! Highly recommend.
Best Sushi resturant on Vancouver Island. I am not a sushi connoisseur but I know what tastes good. I have lived in victoria for 47 years and I have been to many sushi resturants some good some not so good for the last 5 years I find myself returining to Akemi sushi for outstanding sushi with a taste that matches no other on vancouver island. Great service Great staff Great food. I highly recommend it:)
Terrible service, food ok. I have tried to like this restaurant several times, but always leave saying to myself, why do I return. The service is terrible, waitress was slow, and forgot half our order. And rude when we asked for it. Food is just ok. This was the last time I will visit this restaurant, too many chances.
Terrible. Went here for my daughters birthday. Spoiled little brat couldn’t finish her boat for four. So we threw her ass over board.
