Totally enjoy the live music. When I goI love listening to all the local musicians and I have a riot. I can’t help spending loads of money while there on the great food and beverages. The food is great and the musicians both play all kinds of music such as country and rockthe waymy friends and I enjoy it.I feel the music packs the place on a Sunday. John and lisa
Love this place!. Started going to this place a couple of months ago when I moved into the area. Just an all around welcoming, friendly place. Mark is a great bartender, and Skye is absolutely delightful! Actually all the staff are great, and the food is fantastic as well. I’d tell you how awesome Music Bingo is, but I have a hard enough time getting a seat at the bar as it is!
A little jewel Sports Bar/Pub in Langford. I just discovered a nice little sports bar/pub with pretty good food that’s very reasonably priced hidden away on Sooke Rd near Happy Happy Valley Rd. The renovated building used to house the Glen Lake Inn. Its more towards a sports bar/restaurant with a TV in every corner plus a large pull own screen to run the hockey or football game. They even have a Canucks Game Day food special that’s a heck of a good deal. Tonight, Sunday I found out that they have a Live Music Jam Session from 4-7 pm and Fish & Chips as their daily special. I had that. It was quite good made with fresh Haddock, fries & fresh made cole slaw. Unfortunately, I’d missed out on the live music and were taking out the equipment when I got there. This is a place you must give a try out soon.
Great service and great food. We came to bucky’s as we have moved down the road and wanted to give it a try. we had great service from Skye and the food was perfect. Love the elk ears for dessert
What a great night the band was awesome and great staff and people. Best time time i have had at this bar. Halloween Rocked!!! Thank You
So Loud. No complaints about the food or service, although their beer selection leaves a lot to be desired. But for the size of the place it can get incredibly loud. I attribute this to the nothing but hard surfaces in the place. The sound waves bounce around like crazy and you end up having to yell across your table to be heard which just ends up adding to the problem. Some sound baffles and more padded surfaces would go a long way to making this a more comfortable venue to grabs a few drinks at with friends.
Great Burgers and Moose Ears!!. We stopped at Bucky’s half way through a bike ride on the Galloping Goose Trail. We were hungry, thirsty and needing a break. The staff was cheerful as we took over half of the patio with our 4 bikes and rearranged the furniture. Then we had the food and then we came back 2 more times. Realize that this taphouse was not on our way to anything … we just liked it.I had the burger, no bun, 3 times. My friends kept getting the pulled pork sandwich, and the wings. (The nachos were not like home, but then we were not home) We even ventured into the Moose Ears, which were light and tasty… and no moose was harmed.Good beer selection too.Clean restrooms. Very cheerful staff. If you are from the USA, note that Canada requires that burgers be well done. It’s the law, so if you want a medium rare burger, wait until you are home or cook it yourself. It is not the fault of the chef if the law says he has to cook it well done.
