We come here at least once every two weeks. I LOVE pho and she makes the best pho I’ve had on Vancouver Island. The broth is so flavourful and the sprouts, lime and basil are always super fresh.

Went there after being told by a friend about amazing bubble tea. I went in with 2 other people for bubble tea and pho and was appalled by horrid customer service. There was one person working and we were initially ignored until we asked for two orders of pho and four bubble teas and were told it would be 30 mins, so we just asked for the teas and were told it would still be 30 mins and she ‘didn’t have time for us’. Sooo we left and went to zin sushi by western foods where we were helped by pleasant friendly workers.

Best Beef Pho. You wouldn’t know that Culis Market had a vietnamese restaurant in it just by driving by. I was looking for a place for lunch one day and saw that they were in the Reflections building close by and decided to try it. The food: I got a bowl of Pho and it was absolutely the best beef pho I have tried yet! The broth tastes like its been cooking for hours and the meat was really nice. I have also been there to try salad rolls which were pretty good, and my hubby has tried the Bahn Mi. He said it wasn’t the best Bahn Mi, just ok. I’ve also gotten bubble tea there and it has been good! The service: The people that run this place are so nice! The older gentleman is so sweet and very attentive and the lady has been really nice as well. The decor: Like I said, you wouldn’t know the place by driving by! It is a little strange that it is shared space with the market as well.. so you dine surrounded by shelves, but the dining area looks like they have at least made lots of effort to keep it separate. It is nice and bright inside too, which is good.

Authentic Viet fare!. Best Viet food I’ve had on the island. Not much on the decor and ambiance depth but great food at a very modest price. You won’t be leaving here hungry. Make sure to try the spring rolls and Bahn Mi.

Excellent Authentic Vietnamese Food!. Great little place to stop and grab a bite! Big portions of delicious food and the owners are very nice and welcoming. I’ve been to Vietnam and these two cook it up right! Highly recommend this place!

Excellent!. Hands down the best Vietnamese food we have found on the island. The owner does a killer pho, with a rich, flavorful broth that tastes like it has simmered for days, and generous slices of good quality beef that are substantial enough that you can believe they came from a cow. She takes requests–we have had difficulty finding beef salad rolls, but she gladly makes them to order. The spring rolls are delicate and crisp, not drenched in oil like some other local offerings–and the garlic pork is true to its name. The location itself is misleading–you might be forgiven for not realizing there is a restaurant in there, but it is definitely worth a visit.

Pho fans need to try. I heard this place served decent pho so I stopped for a late lunch with the family. Its a two person operation and it looked like they had been busy as some of the tables were not cleared. I didnt see a menu but the pleasant fellow told me they have a limited selection of pho, banh mi and salad rolls. I ordered 4 bowls pho which was made by a nice lady who seemed to produce most of the food. The broth was fantastic and is perhaps my favourite pho broth in the Victoria area and Ive tried most if not all the Viet restaurants in town. The broth is darker than most local pho and has appetizing globules of fat floating on top. The flavour was meatier and more intense than many of the lighter, sweeter more herbal broths around town. A large plate of fresh herbs was supplied and I love it when you get both cilantro and Thai basil. The lady also gave us a small dish of lemon grass chili sauce that gave an additional nice flavour kick to the soup. I would wager that they use minimal MSG compared to many Viet places as well. The couple should consider halving their space, getting rid of the store portion and focus on serving their soup and other dishes. They need some extra labour as well because the dirty tables scared one couple off when I was there.
