Ever wonder where you can go to enjoy a lovely perfectly cooked lightly spiced calamari with salad and/or rice? In many restaurants, even fine dining establishments, calamari are often over cooked or it’s so tough you spend the whole meal trying to chew each piece only to be frustrated, leaving hungry and completely dissatisfied, vowing never to eat it again. Or there’s the over battered calamari, that when deep fried retains the whole container of oil.Well, the good news is you can access perfectly prepared, lightly spiced and battered tender morsels of this special gift of the sea right on the Westshore in a tiny Mediterranean restaurant in the Westshore Mall directly across from Winners. Exopitta. This wonderful Persian family owned business is open every day. Their version of Greek chicken souvlaki and gyro (which my partner just can’t get enough of) is also very well seasoned and tender served to your table with a warm sincere smile. Portions are healthy with fresh salad and Greek herbed rice. And their menu items are very affordable!If you are on the adventurous side and love to try authentic foods from diverse cultures, ask for their delicious Persian chicken rice or eggplant walnut dish. Not on any menu! They may not grant your wish but it sure is worth asking! You will have to preorder days in advance but the wait is so worth it! These dishes are flavored perfectly with just the right traditional spices and jewels; dried fruit and nuts and the chicken is so moist! The Tahdig, the crisp crunchy delicious topping is one of the most coveted parts of the rice! We had these two dishes for New Year’s Day lunch with friends. Need I say, our friends were extremely impressed! Personally I try to make time at least every second week for my calamari fix. I’m always immensely happy!
AMAZING GYROS!. Best Gyros in town! Aside from their amazing gyros and signature tzatziki sauce, their calamari is quite delicious as well. The place is always kept clean, the food is always fresh and nicely presented and the staff are always welcoming. If you are looking for a great place to grab a delicious affordable bite then exopitta is the place to go! you won’t be disappointed .
Everything about this restaurant is amazing!. The food at Exopitta is amazing and my personal favourite is the pita roll. Thinking about it makes me hungry. The service here is impeccable. A+ for their hospitality. Amazing food and excellent hospitality, what more can you ask for?
10 out of 10 !!!. This restaurant is the epitome of great mediterranean food. Everytime I go there’s such a warm environment where everyone seems to be enjoying themselves. The staff really knows their food, the ingredients, and what to recommend to their customers. There’s a variety of different dishes, tastes and styles, I always have the Gyro with tzatziki and fries and a glass of cold coke… great cooking and great presentation…gets me everytime!!!
Amazingly delicious. This is the best Greek restaurant in town. The quality of their food is amazing , it’s fresh and their staff is very kind. Try their gyros and calamaris , everything is great . Highly recommend it.
DELICIOUS!!. This place is so great and their food is so delicious . They staff is really friendly and their Greek food is absolutely fresh and delicious. try their gyros and their chicken Sovlakia and you will be addicted. Highly recommend it .
Disgusting. I had the extreme displeasure of eating here today. Halfway through my chicken souvlaki, there was a piece of chicken that was not fully cooked and was slimy.When it was brought to the attention of the owner, he proceeded to inform me that it was not raw chicken and that I should go and eat my food. I told him that I was not going to eat something that looked and felt raw and that I wanted my money back. He told me no, that he would remake the one piece of chicken. I again said that I did not want one piece of chicken remade and that I wanted my money back.He argued with me the entire time in front of other customers and would not listen to the fact that the food he cooked was not fully cooked and refused to refund the one wrap. I am completely disgusted by the raw chicken and by the behavior exhibited by the owner when it was brought to his attention.I will never eat here again.
