Ridiculous Wait. Little Thai Place is one of my favourite take out places in Victoria. All locations I’ve been to whether Veterans, Shelbourne or Cook street are consistent with the taste and amount of food given. However, I chose to order take out from the Veterans location on Valentines day this year. I was told over the phone it would be a 40 minute wait. So I set an alarm on my phone and my friend and I ran some errands.When the alarm went off we drove there making our wait time maybe a total of 45 to 50 minutes. Unfortunately, when we showed up it was busy as expected, but our food was not ready. I paid and continued to wait. We ended up waiting over an hour of extra time, almost 2 hours total from placing order to getting food. I was not told that it would take that long when I phoned or when I paid. If I had, I would have chosen to go to a different location or somewhere else entirely. The girl behind the counter never spoke to us to apologize for the wait, or at any point tell us how much longer it would be. After almost 2 hours from when I ordered we were given our food with no smile and definitely no apology for the ridiculous wait. I’m more than happy to wait for food but it’s clear from my experience and other posts that they need to get their timing more accurate. Luckily our friend who was waiting for us was very patient, but throwing someones plans off by an hour to an hour and half is very poor service. Until I hear they have fixed this problem. I think I will choose a different location.
We decided to go to little Thai pl for valentines dinner. The restaurant was full , there was only 1 young guy serving on the floor . Friday night on valentines , clearly someone is not thinking straight. They should have more then one person , the poor guy was doing his best . We felt so bad for him, we could see the panic in his face . The food was really good but the experience was not so good. Hope the owner hires more servers to help the young guy out .
Pad Thai – un-yummy!. Possible he worst Pad Thai I’ve ever had – overcooked noodles with a burnt oil aftertaste and soggy bean sprouts – do yourself a favour and go somewhere else for Thai food!
Horrible Service. I’ve ordered pick-up – they said it would be 25 mins I left my house at the 30min mark – got there and waited another 45 mins – no apology for being late nothing – just here is your food – and I left leave. I decided to give them another chance and ordered delivery – they said it would be 45 min – 1 hour later I called they said the guy was on his way – I said so the food left? Yes he just left…1 hour from then I called back and they said the driver was new and may be lost?? May be lost… can you call him? So she tells me to call back in 5 mins – we do she tells us we are next on he list – kind of like the cheques in the mail….our food arrived well over 2 hours after ordering…it was cold – we had to heat it up. We will never order from here EVER again and we only did this time because Sabai Thai was close – a far superior choice for Thai food in Langford.
Don’t order for delivery!!! We waited an hour and a half, then called back, they said it was on the way, called again 20 minutes later and was told they were too busy to deliver our order. Waited two hours– and no food. We haven’t ordered here before, and definately not giving them a second chance. Pretty bad service, the worst I would say
Very tasty. We order here once a month. Pad Thai, satay skewers and spring rolls. Quick, reasonably cheap and tasty.
Of all Victoria’s Little Thai Places the one.in Langford is our favourite. We like its atmoshere and service. The food has never let us down. It is one of the places that will go back to even if it means going out of our way.
