A fantastic addition to Langford. A local Victoria-based bakery, opening their second location in Goldstream Village. Small shop tucked away on corner of VMP and Goldstream. Baked goods are quality, made with local organic ingredients, and very good. Not just gluten free but vegan/ oat/ dairy/ nut/ soy/ yeast/ corn-free options too. They list all ingredients beside baked items so you know exactly what’s in it. This bakery has mastered flavour. Not inexpensive but goods are specialty made and top quality. The vegan chocolate chip cookie-bar is moist, crumbly and delicious. I hear the vegan chocolate cake/cupcake is to die for. The egg/dairy-free Vega bread is best I’ve tasted.
Went to Origin for the first time today and picked up a gluten/dairy free cupcake, as well as a baguette. Was pleasantly surprised to see that ingredient lists were readily available at the counter. Some items are also free of quinoa and brown rice, which some people often find to be quite irritating as well. After trying many gluten free bakeries, Origin is by far my favorite. Both items I purchased today are delicious. The customer service was also very fast and friendly. Only downside to Origin is that they currently only have 2 locations!
