I took my wife for dinner on Saturday and it was busy at 6 pm. No reservation, but because we were only two we had a table within 5 mins. We ordered two appys and a 1/2 litre of wine. Rush rush Rush? Can we take your order, can we take your order OMG. So we ordered…. I was in the middle of my Thai wings and my main course arrived? The table is small and I myself had to re-organize the table IOT fit all the plates on table Wow.So we ate and the bill was brought while I still had more than half of my wine to enjoy. We went to talk and enjoy a meal and enjoy a little wine. I was not impressed at all. We tipped the server and left. Oh and really a wet nap come on man!Bob Anderson
Service is always great, but I feel the flavours in the food are lacking. There lots of Thai places in Victoria that I would choose over this place.
Nothing bad here. But alas, nothing eye popping either. Food was good, hot and fresh. The Kids from Chopped Canada do a better job @ presentation. Decor is, well, dark. I feel like some one is trying to hard for fine dinning restaurant here. But what do I know. Oh wait, I do know something, its been various other things over the years, including a donut shop.I recommend you keep driving all the way down to the end of Jacklin Road for Thai.
I was feeling cautious after having read reviews ranging from sub-zero to a 5. My family found the place quaint and themed appropriately though it is obvious they are geared on one side for more of a ‘club’ atmosphere. The take-out line was steady and the restaurant side was reasonably full. Clearly it is popular with the locals. So we ordered on the safe side: Hot & Sour Soup, Chicken Skewers, spring rolls, Shrimp Pad Thai, Red Curry Chicken and coconut Rice. Though no single dish stood out as exceptional, none disappointed. The entire package was quite pleasing and fit what we were hoping for. Portions were good. Device was good. This will definitely be a do-over next time in town. Maybe we will be more adventurous with the menu.
i ordered the veggie pad thai. delicious. excellent portion sizes- almost couldnt finish mine. comfortable and open atmopshere. service was great and speedy. i recommend dining at this restaurant
We have come back here a few times now, the service is always good, even when they are really busy, and they do get packed here at dinner time. The waitresses and hostesses are cheerful and polite and the food is amazing! I’ve tried the green curry, the passion fruit salad, and the pad Thai so far and am impressed with each one! They also make delicious cocktails as well! The only slight draw back is the acoustics as is can get quite loud during dinner time, but the decor and building it self look great!
The food here was really yummy! I enjoyed my main course so much I forgot to take a picture of it haha I had the sweet and sour shrimp with coconut rice and it was super delicious. I had the lychee ice cream for desert and it was yummy. I enjoyed the lychees.
