Had a great impromptu dinner here together after a return from a long trip. We didn’t have a reservation but probably should have, and they managed to give us nice seats at the long table. Our server was helpful and cheerful, very much into the menu and service. All in all a great dinner and atmosphere for a return home. Highly recommended.
I love Bistro Fandango and both times that I have been the waiter was top notch (friendly, funny, efficient but not hovering) and the food varied from good to fantastic. It’s always a treat to get an amuse from the chef, and then if you order soup, salad, entree, wine and dessert you’ll be very satisfied. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is my food wasn’t hot last visit.
My friend and I spent an evening here celebrating our birthdays. The server was bright, funny and knowledgable . He helped us with vegetarian dishes that we lived . Ambiance was classy and overall the experience was lovely . We would go back .
3 Strikes. I have eaten here for years, since the new owner I have tried this place 3 times. It is charming, the new Chef did nothing to the place it’s the same place 3rd or 4th owner down. But I’m afraid this was the last time. The food and the service are equally a disappointment. I find the food frankly bland, almost nursing home bland. This time I had the spinach salad about $10.00, spinach, plain diced canned beets, unseasoned oil no flavor what so ever, and a tiny marble size drop of goat cheese. For the main course I had the Fettuccini, it appeared dry, barley coated in something that tasted like evaporated milk and parmesan cheese with 3 tiny thawed shrimp, that’s it, no taste, seasonings, no pepper… had to ask for it no salt had to ask for it and it need it. Now for the service. We have never had really good service here. Today the young waiter seemed to have had no experience at all in fine dinning he was awkward, he was really cute but dreadful as a waiter, I had to ask for cream, I had to ask for pepper, salt, he brought my friend tea and poured it immediately, it looked like blushed water in her cup, so he took that cup and added more water to her teaspoon of tea flakes and she had blushed water again. I asked for a coffee and you could have held a spoon upright in it. so I did not due so well myself. Oh lord.. we had to waive him down a few times and only 6 people in the place. He offered no menu help. I did see the waiter adjust our salads with his dirty hands as I looked through the pass hole in the kitchen, that disturbed me yuk! I expected a dinning experience from a chef that owns the place. This dude need to kick up his game a bit I think.
POOR SERVICE DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. Food was okay, nothing to write home about, but the service was completely amateur. The wine list looks like it was compiled by a teenager and the place was noisy and uncomfortable.
What a little gem this place is. Great service, tasty fresh food, very nice presented. Always a little extra from the kitchen. Will go back for shure.
Love this place. From the service (Sammi was awesome) to the food (Chef himself came to check on us a couple of times) and everything in between this charming little place will give the big boys a run for their money. All this and tremendous value to boot. Two of us had the prix fixe (soup, salad and entree) for $42!!! I felt like I was robbing the place. All in all, I highly reccommend this place to anyone who like good food, service and value. So everybody.
