Phenomenal service would be the highlight of my experience at Bistro Fandango followed by great food in a close second. We stumbled upon this restaurant via a groupon on the holiday break and we were glad we did. Groupon? No problem! Our server treated just like any other patron, which happened to be exceptionally well. I haven’t had service that great in a long time. On top of that all the courses were delicious and flavourful. Next time I’m in the Okanagan I will definitely swing by for another great meal.
Ok we went last night with our groupon. I know how the groupon thing works and I wasn’t expecting the top dishes in the restaurant and it was nice to get to choose. I had the soup to start which was just ok. The desserts we had were outstanding and well made. It was the entree’s. I had a special of pasta, mussels and some snails while my wife had the pork. These were average at best. My pasta had very little sauce, 4 mussel shells , 3 mussels and some tiny snails. My wife’s pork, although tender, was on plain mash potatoes. These entree’s were not fine dinning. I think with the groupon you want to use it to get people come eat and then come back after trying the food. However, you need to blow us away with the dishes and the flavors and that didn’t happen. These entree’s were very weak and for that I gave it a 3. I think they are doing themselves for harm than good with the groupon. We won’t be going back. Too bad because I love the location and the atmosphere but it is a restaurant and food has to be number one.
