Great service and well located. Nice atmosphere and accesible prices, great food in general with a lot of alternatives. They told us they had another restaurant downtown that offers buffet sometimes, going there soon!

Server said we suppose to tip when we come here. I can’t believe the server told me that we suppose to tip them when we come here, and I was like no we tip you when we like your service. And he goes that’s why they only do takeout at the dawet( restaurant in downtown)

Good flavours, but not worth the money.. My girlfriend and I went to Chutney recently, and were both somewhat disappointed. I ordered the lamb vindaloo, and asked for it very spicy (6/6). She ordered the chili chicken and was told it was naturally quite spicy, so asked for a 4/6 spice level. We also had a kuchumber salad, which was mostly tasteless and overpriced. We both order the garlic cilantro naan bread, which was pretty good. The main dishes were very small. My vindaloo had about 5 small cubes of lamb and 3 chunks of potato. This is not even close to acceptable. The chili chicken dish had more meat, but almost no sauce. The flavour was good, but there was absolutely NO heat! My 6/6 heat-level dish had at most a 2/6 heat-level. My girlfriend, who is much more sensitive to spice agreed that the food had no spice. The service was good, and when our server asked how the food was, we mentioned it was not spicy at all. She got us some of the spiced hot sauce that is used to spice the dishes, and even coating a piece of the meat in this hot sauce was at most a 4/6 for heat.Even though the flavours were good, we both agreed we wouldn’t return, as there are better values to be had, at restaurants that are capable of spicing their food correctly. I expect the option for SPICY food at an indian restaurant, and Chutney does not come close to offering this. If you only need small portions and don’t want any kind of heat in your food, then Chutney is a good option, as the overall flavour of the dishes is quite good.
