Amazing patio view. Good food, wife and I shared about 3-4 dishes plus drinks and came away feeling well feed. Service was very friendly but on the slower side, but wasnt in a hurry given the amazing view at sunset.

Great restaurant to visit because of its location and scenic view but not one I would recommend for those on a budget and have big tummies! What I liked… location by the lake is romantic, scenic and breathtaking. Service was good and very accommodating to larger parties. Food selection is good with shared plates, customized pizza and a large selection of desserts and appetizers. There is a beautiful patio that is gorgeous whether by day or night (when its all lit up). It is conveniently located in a hotel so it draws in the foot traffic from the hotel. What I didn’t like.. prices are a little on the high side with entrees running up to $35 and starters from $15 18 per plate. Even if you shared the food and add your beverage to your bill, it could run quite high. The restaurant has a lounge / bar area, a patio and a dining section. The bar area tends to get a little loud.

Disappointed. I had heard good things about this restaurant so decided to try it out for Friday date night. We were sat by the window, which was nice, the view of the lake is great. The menu was quite limited, not a great selection and pretty over priced. $20 for a plate of fish and chips. When they arrived they were basically three fish sticks and some fries. The wild mushroom and Brie grilled cheese was actually really good and cost less, $14 I believe. The drinks were expensive. The server had an air about him like perhaps we should thank him just for being there. Also, parking was a nightmare. Overall, the food is way over priced for the quality and the service left a lot to be desired. I probably wouldn’t go back.

I love the patio. On September 27, the night of the blood moon, it was chilly but my date and I wanted to sit on the patio to be able to see this phenomenon. It was a Sunday and not very busy inside or out. There were a couple of other guests outside. We asked the waitress about sitting in the section with the heat lamps and she brought out the young male manager. He said that section was closed and could not be opened. There did not appear to be any other reason or that it would put any one out of their way. Maybe if my date would have had some cash? Lol. Nevertheless not very accommodating and I would say poor service to not be able to move to a table where there was a heat lamp. Isn’t that what the lamps are for? To be able to sit on the patio even if it’s cold out? The waitress was lovely and did bring us blankets! Maybe the manager might have thrown in a hot toddy? He was not personable in any way. I’d like to say I’d never go there again but it’s one of the few restaurants in Kelowna with a patio on the lake, however I will never again bring out of town guests there. That is not an impression of Kelowna I would want them tohave.

The food was great, service was brutal. Pad Thai super yummy-medium to hot (although the server told us it’s mild), drinks tasted good but took forever to get ordered and delivered, smiles must cost extra at this place.

We stayed at the Manteo on our recent week-long vacation in the Okanagan. The new Smack DAB is right there with an excellent menu, and a beautiful patio right on the lake. Everything we tried on the menu was excellent, and the service was good. Always a dozen craft beers available, two of which change daily.

Patio or not to Patio. Probably the nicest patio experience in Kelowna, but have been turned away by staff on a couple occasions. Just today in fact we went for snacks and drinks and were told there was no seats on the patio and the wait would be 20 minutes or more. On our way out the door I checked the patio from the side door and noticed at least 4 empty tables at far end of patio. I write this review to vent frustration at being turned away from an establishment than I truly enjoy, and to hopefully Encourage management to live up to their full potential.
