NEUTRAL – I have tried a few sushi joints lately and just like the last couple, Toyomi Sushi is getting a neutral rating from me. I didn’t hate it, but I didn’t like it lots either. The spicy tuna rolls were great and the plate presentation was beautiful. The bad is the price. $2.15 per piece of salmon nigiri? $12 for a salmon/tuna sashimi plate with 3 pieces of each? It seems to be the norm at the last few sushi places so I couldn’t say I was that shocked, just disappointed that this place wasn’t cheaper. I think maybe I’ve been spoiled by hitting up the all-you-can-eat joints like Tanpopo on Denman.
