Great deal but if you are looking for quality, this is not the place for it. Great lunch specials for those on a budget. Service is so-so. There was only one server on the floor during lunch hour. Ordered a lunch bento box and they allowed me to switch the tuna nigiri to salmon. Rice for the chicken teriyaki was a little mushy. Tempura batter was quite brown so oil probably needed to be changed. Seems like a popular place to be in the neighbourhood but probably won’t be back.
Great deal however if you’re going for high quality or really good sushi you’re best to go somewhere else. Live in marpole and often go there – not amazing sushi or service by any means but good for me (a student on a budget)
Watch out for the older Chinese waiter. He is out to lunch. Got both our orders wrong. We ordered chopped scallop Nigiri and bento box B (which costs 8.95), the guy gave me chopped scallop roll and dinner box B (which costs 15.95).
One of my go-to places between lunch and dinner meetings…quiet, parking right in front in its small plaza, comfortable seating, and of course, good food. Ordered their chicken teriyaki, juicy meat & crispy skin. They have a good promo where if you like their Facebook page, you get 10% off on dine-in orders only, minimum $25. Sushi bar seating too.
If you are going for top quality sushi, go to a japanese run place. If you are looking for some good sushi, great prices and service, go to Ikura. I believe this place is run by a Chinese family. The service here is always good. and the Prices are unbeatable. Not going to lie, I frequent this place a couple times a week as this place is super affordable. #brokestudentlife
Went back for a second time hoping it the visit would be better, but was just as disappointed. Meh service, so much teriyaki sauce that I felt like gagging, and rude laughter and chatter in their own language among the staff when I conplained to them. At least the food didn’t take an eternity to arrive and they didn’t forget about items from our order like last time. Would not recommend to people and will not be back.
