Sweet Soup Tasting Platter | $22.95Everyone came here for this photogenic platter, and we are no exception You can choose either cold or hot version, but hk style sweet soup always tastes better in hot version (in case you don’t know). It comes with nine mini cups, which includes (from top to bottom): almond paste, red date and longan soup, cashew paste, black glutinous dessert, tofu pudding, red bean soup, walnut paste, black sesame paste, and green bean soup They might be in a sampler size, but they are very filling. My favourite is always the tofu pudding and black sesame paste. The sweet soups are generally not too sweet, however some of them are kinda watery and diluted. Also, the fact that trying all different types of paste and sweet soups makes them taste all the same Have anyone had the same feeling as me? I would definitely come back for the specific desserts that I love in this platter, but may not be the platter again.Taste: 3/5Service: 4/5Ambiance: 4/5Quality-Price: 3/5 pigoutyvr.com

On a cold cold Vancouver night we stopped by with our out of town guest to try their Mahjong dessert (coconut pudding and red bean pudding). Ok. This was SO cute. Pricey but it was irresistible. We also had their hot black sesame soup which yummy. Will be back to try some more of their signature desserts.

Snackshot is a Hong Kong style dessert shop that just opened up recently. I’m loving the dessert places in the marpole area. We are very fortunate to have desserts like this that basically taste as close as it gets to Hong Kong.If you order any bulldog drink, the server will ask if your taking a photo. If so you get a bottle cup holder. The Coke and lemonade was alright, but I think I would enjoy the red bean one next time. The wooden bucket tofu is comforting. You can adjust the sweetness for yourself with the syrups and sugar provided, but my favourite is the ginger syrup. I would love to come back and try their dessert platter. Alot of people ordered this at every table. It can definitely feed 3-4 people in my opinion.

Although we are in Vancouver, we are lucky we are still be able to taste some Hong Kong snacks, street food and desserts here. We ordered a bowl of hot steamed milk custard, a wooden bucket tofu for two, VitaSoy milk with red bean bulldog (cold), and a dish of curry fish balls/fish tofu, Sui mai, and rice rolls. All of them tasted excellent! One thing they could improve on was to decrease the sugar in the steam milk custard. It was extremely sweet. We wish the dish of curry fish balls/fish tofu, Sui mai, and rice roll would be a little bit bigger. We paid the same price at Aberdeen Food Court but the portion was so much more and it tasted excellent as well. We got here around 7:15pm. The restaurant was quite full but we were lucky to get a table right away. When it was around 8pm, A LOT OF people were waiting at the foyer or outside the restaurant. Whenever we drive by, this restaurant is always busy indeed. If you love Hong Kong street food and desserts, you should visit this restaurant and taste their hot desserts and try their Hong Kong style of drinks.
