The food was amazing! 5 women for our Christmas dinner, and we ate a lot. Lamb, chicken, beef, fish, scallops, corn, zucchini, garlic bread, mushrooms wrapped in bacon, and more. The beer was good and fun to pour at your own table. I highly recommend this place for a group of 3-6, as you can order many different items. Service was ok. It was hard to get a servers attention, but they were all nice.

Never would I have stumbled upon this gem if it wasnt through an invitation for a family dinner. On a Saturday night, it was quite busy when we arrived by 8pm, but our group of 5 was seated as soon as possible. The Meat Up specializes in Northern Chinese style skewers with a wide variety of meat and veggie options to choose from. For some skewers, it is required to order a minimum of 5 per order .. but for our group, that was no problem at all. Once the skewers kept coming, it was all up for grabs. My favourites were the chicken gristle, bacon enoki and beef tripe skewers, mantou bread, hurricane potato and cucumber salad. (Some mentioned are not pictured as they were too yummy to resist!) Dont forget to get a beer tower for you and your beer-loving friends!Im happy to see hurricane potato on the menu as I wont be needing to wait for the Night Market every year when I crave my favourite form of potato. It was crispier and dusted with flavouring a lot better. I particularly reached for the chicken gristle as I loved the texture and saltiness. The grilled mantou bread was surprising as it resembles crunchy, nicely-toasted garlic bread – savoury and sweet. As I devour skewer after skewer, the cucumber salad was refreshing and definitely helped when I feel the spice a little too much. The only minor con was probably the overkill of cumin dusted on the skewers. For some people, the spiciness is quite tolerable and the cumin does add to the flavour of the grilled meats; but for some not used to the taste, it can be a turn off to the enjoyment of your meal. From the lively atmosphere inside the comic-inspired interior to the accommodating servers and delicious skewers, I have quite enjoyed my visit and left with nothing but the eagerness to recommend to friends and the desire to come back for more!
