Not to terribly impressed. I came with a friend for an early dinner. We were seated promptly. I looked around and noticed that it wasnt to busy. So our server came over with a loaf of sourdough bread, it didnt taste like sourdough bread. I ordered a water to drink, the minestrone soup and a regular spaghetti with a spicy meat sauce. Our drinks came out and a minute or so later my soup came. I was half way through my soup when our main course came our. I wasnt too impressed because there should be a few minutes between each course. When the waitress came out with the main course, I had to ask her to refill my glass of water, staff should do this without being asked. The waitress offered fresh parmesan cheese. The waitress came back to refill the water. Once I finished my soup, I started onto my main course. By this time, the food was cold. I noticed the pasta was under cooked, the sauce was bland, under seasoned and there was pockets of spice vs consistently throughout. I finished my second glass of water and needed more but staff were hardly around to flag down. We finally got the ice cream fashionably late compared to the back to back course that started the meal. Our bill came out, my part of it was $13.13, I gave a $20. I should have received $6.85 back. This is not what I got back as change. The food was awful, service sucked and I was ripped off. Will not be back again, there is a better pasta restaurant a few blocks away that will be getting my business.
Pretty standard pasta place. They have all the classic dishes and the environment is very niche. Good service and I very much enjoyed my fettuccini alfredo with grilled cajun chicken is my favorite.
What a disappointment! (Not the food, that gets a 10/10) We made reservations, it was our 29th wedding anniversary. You sat us at the first booth, right around the corner, across from the bar, bathrooms, kitchen with it being the main entrance to seating customers. We didn’t even see what the restaurant looked like! After watching the constant flow of people going to the washrooms (I personally got to look right into the men’s washroom and every person coming around the corner looks at you), thankfully my husband changed seats with me. Then you come out and sing us a song, with a sparkler, in the free scoop of ice cream. We’re in our 50’s if it’s not coming on an anniversary dessert then please don’t bother with that or the song, no need for it.
Great pasta and great value. The price often includes bread, salad, pasta and an ice cream dessert. It can get very crowded at times. At lunch, they have some great sandwiches.
