Got a Lamb Platter and a Chicken Super Regular Combo. It’s a bit pricey, but the chicken is absolutely delicious. Lamb was good, but not great. Lots of rice…lots and lots of rice. I don’t think that justifies $16 per dish. Plus, its cash only! Probably not going to be back, but you never know. brewji.blogspot.com

Ive lived in the area for years and just now stumbled across this hidden gem. Food is amazing and fresh (the falafel is worth the wait!) And the portions are beyond generous! Abdul is awesome and always gives great service!

Inconsistent proportions. I would not recommend if Abdul is not there.. When Abdul (the gentleman with the glasses) makes the wrap, he makes it very well and with generous proportion. But be warned, on multiple occasions that I ordered a wrap from the other gentleman/lady, the proportion is significantly smaller in both vegetables and meat. Today, again, I just ordered a wrap from the other guy, and it was made with half the fillings and half the effort and was a waste of money. I will not go again when Abdul is not working. For being so inconsistent with the proportions, my thumb is down.

Abdul’s Pricey BBQ and Shawarma. Come on, $13.50 for a chicken shawarma platter??! Food was okay but I’m afraid wasn’t nice enough to warrant that price tag. Thought I’d give it a try nonetheless but was left feeling underwhelmed. Donair Delight across the street does it better I feel and at $9.83 including a can of pop it’s also better for my wallet.

Great sauce on the wrap. Just beware that medium has some good kick and hot is really spicy.

Poor service!. I went to Abdul’s BBQ at 9.30pm on Sat evening and ordered a chicken sharwama. The person behind the counter was very grumpy and when I was about to sit inside he said they will be cleaning soon and that i could not eat in,even though they close at 10pm! The portion was good however i don’t rate the quality of the chicken and the sauce was hot! Mind you i did order spicy! A better service and attitude would make this a much better place.

Maybe Abdul was absent?. Went with a friend for lunch and shared a Falafel Plate and a Lamb Plate. Was looking forward to it with all the positive reviews, but I was underwhelmed. Meat was dry and not better than other shawarma places. Green salad was limp and slimy (?day old). Tabouleh and humous were not distinctive. I liked the hot sauce put in the pita. The other good thing was that for a $15 lamb plate it managed to be enough for my lunch and dinner. It’s a good option for this area if you are not into asian food.I would check out Falafully good on Oak street in Vancouver, if you want awesome shawarma and falafel (haven’t been there in a while but it was very good years ago).
