came here during weekdays lunch, while my parents ordered vina, then i was looking around and hmmm there was chef tony, the branch from richmond, i do remember that the food in richmond was quite interesting but i was surprised to see the branch in a food court setting, wondering how will they keep the prestige of quality of their dimsum, anyhow went to the stall and ordered a few items, then tried a few items, well it tasted decent however, to start, i wasn’t a big fan of their dimsum either in richmond, i thought the ingredients are expensive but taste wise it wasn’t something worth the money for me. more like quantity type over here. so then, the best item is must say the liushabao, i think it’s called steam custard bun, however definitely not the best, but decent fix if you’re in a hurry. price wise i think it was okay… mangkr.wordpress.com
All my favorite dim sums at Chef Tony are here without having to make a trip to Richmond. Best of all, I can pick any one item and not the full order as in the restaurant. Their truffleSiu Mai is the best. Chef Tony is taking over the spot occupied by Fortune House and I, for one, couldn’t wait for it to open.
Chef Tony does not disappoint. One can pick any 6 of the items offered plus a choice of soy sauce noodles, cucumber or tofu with celery for $8.50. I love their mushroom pastries and egg white tarts and don’t have to go all the way to Richmond to satisfy my craving.
