I’ll share a few insider tips when ordering here. You gotta be aggressive when ordering and look them in the eye. If your ordering chicken on rice you will be fine. But anything with BBQ pork, roast pork, or duck, say you want the not so fat ones, and yes unfortunately speaking in Chinese will help more. If they give you what you did not requested for, reject it and say you want the not so fat ones, or you’ll spend your money elsewhere. Sometimes you gotta talk like this with vendors, or they’ll rip your hard earn money off.
Service was alright, but the food was not. Ordered the two items on rice which were the bbq pork and roasted pork. It had very little meat so I was pretty much eating fat which was unpleasant. The porks were also very dry… like it was leftovers from overnight. Anyways, I wouldn’t recommend.
I wish I can give a 0 out of 5. I should have really stayed away from this place. I knew this all along that BBQ place likes to give your more and ask you to pay for it. This is true for most BBQ place, but this one is just plain ridiculous. If you ask them to only give you what you asked for, not only do they give you such a bad look, but they only give you the leftover. Despite I asked for lean meat, The BBQ pork they gave me were all fat, which were not edible at all. For the same money, even as bad as BBQ pork from T&T would be a better deal (which I wouldn’t bother buying). I’ve asked for only BBQ pork and without change on me, they removed the meat part that was in the box and left only the fat. If there’s one thing I would say: Don’t bother going to this place unless you want to be ripped off. Verdict:Food: 1/10 (food is not what being asked for. It’s worth to go to Richmond Parker place just to buy the bbq pork or bbq duck)Service: 0/10 (service was not even welcoming. How dare I asked for lean meat and they only give me fatty part which is totally inedible)Price: 0/10 (The whole box went straight to garbage, so big fat ZERO)Overall: 1/30 (My recommendation: don’t bother buying from this place. Save your money and go somewhere else. There are so many choices in the food court. If you are craving for BBQ, do yourself a favour and drive to Richmond Parker Place, it is worth going all the way and line up for 15 minutes, for much better food and better service)
This place is the worst. I usually don’t even bother when I encounter places like this but they are so infuriating that I had to create an account on here just to warn about them.I ordered some BBQ pork and roasted duck today, and the BBQ pork, they gave us this burnt piece and lazily chopped it up in huge pieces.The duck was only a half order and the leg was missing??? Like how can that even happen?My mom mentioned that the last time she was there, they completely ignored her while she stood there wanting to order, she had to actually ask them if she can order.I don’t expect much service from BBQ shops but some decency would be nice.Dishonest and disgusting service, from the two ladies behind the counter to the guy chopping up the food. Don’t get me wrong, the food can be great, but as of now, it’s not worth the visit.
Most Dishonest and Deceiving. You can only fool me once. Shame on you. NEVER again. The roasted duck skin was soggy. The BBQ ribs was dry. I strongly believe that I didn’t order the same ribs, nothing but big bones. What customer service???!!! Check out more negative ratings in Yelp.
The bbq is ok but the customer service sucks. The girls there are like the world owns them money. They don’t look ay you when they talk and never ever says a thank you to any costers. Will never go there again!
OK … but it ain’t the Master. Living in Surrey, BBQ Master is a long ways to go for roast pork. We still have the odd appointment around Metrotown, and the wife likes veggie shopping at Crystal Mall. We ordered a couple of pounds of roast pork last time out and took it home. Priced cheaper than BBQ Master, but not the same. Biggest difference was the saltiness–wife and I both commented on it, while the boy drank a lot more water than usual.If I’m only driving for the food, I think Richmond wins out (even with the typical driving adventures there).
