Went with a few friends the other night. Everything we ate was great! Shared nachos and everyone got different mains. Burgers, salad, pot pie. Everyone was happy and full. The fries though. Wow. Would go back just for the fries. So tasty.
Love the new menu with more vegetarian items! Service was friendly and prompt, and the fare was good pub food. Will definitely be returning for the ambience and staff.
This restaurant sucks. Ive never eaten in a worse establisment. The service was poor, the atmosphere was that of an old folks home, and the food resembled the taste of the food that can onlycome out of a school csfeteria.
Definitely needs a menu overhaul. I’ve been to Bear Pub how many times now since location is convenient but I noticed their food is really crappy. Last time we ordered just the ordinary Nachos and got a platter of burnt Nachos on top, it was a platter of just plain Nachos – almost no cheese for $17? So far, there’s no food in this pub that will make you come back. I’ve tried different foods on their small and ‘boring’ menu…it’s only the Chicken Wrap that was good but way too spicy for normal palates. Service is a bit good though. Overall, this place needs a menu overhaul…..
Nice and clean pub. Food was good as well the servers…compared to the last visit in dec 2012, the place is cleaner and smells fresh.carpets are very clean and vaccumed, no chicken bones anywhere and a very big improvement overall in terms of cleanliness….will be back for sure and hope its clean the way it is kept right now…vibrant and you guys will do much better in due course in terms of overall service and cleanliness…more quests will walk in and dine.keep it up !!!
I came back to leave a new review because this place has definitely changed. We still live close by, and have been there a few times lately out of convenience even though I hadn’t really wanted to after to previous experiences. I have to say the food there now is a thousand times better than it was in the past, I’m assuming due to a new chef and kitchen staff. We’ve tried a few things over the past couple of months, and have been happy with everything so far!_________________________________________Sept 2012 review:Needs an overhaul. This place has great potential considering its location and size.too bad the food is crappy, the menu is crappy, and the service is.. well the service is okay at least.we’ve been here about 5 times, have tried different dishes from their fairly small and boring menu, and overall been pretty disappointed each time. i don’t know if its the ingredients they use or the recipes themselves, but this place needs a menu overhaul.
