Friendly and expedient service. Seafood Pho is very tasty and a nice serving size. The restaurant is small and busy, apparently popular in the neighbourhood among Vietnamese and other customers.

I still prefer Hong Pho on Kingsway more than Ha Cafe near Crystal Mall. However, Ha Cafe is convenient to pass by :)They are authentic and lovely soup based noodles. Good portion and reasonable pricing.

Food may be ok but our server was as rude as one can get. If you can’t properly greet customers or take orders without displaying the most obnoxious, repulsive demeanor, don’t even work in the service industry. McDonald’s has far more professional high school employees. First and last time eating here.

Worst service everBeware! We took our nine month old daughter to this shady corner lot of a restaurant against our better judgement. The server had a condescending attitude when he saw us and didn’t respond to our results for seats when there’s obviously empty tables available. We waited for 15 minutes and another server told us there’s a wait time of 30+minutes for the empty tables. Five minutes later they let another group access to the tables. We immediately left the premise. Why this place is still around is a mystery.

I was just looking for a good place to have lunch near Metro Town and came across this absolute gem. I usually save Pho for rainy Vancouver days so I decided to try something else on the menu. They recommended the Pork Bahn Mi sandwich which I’ve had a recent obsession with since trying my first one only months ago. Everything about this sandwich was delicious from the crusty bread to the sweet tender pork inside.I also tried the shrimp salad wrap as an appetizer which was pretty decent, I liked the sauce more than anything. I find a lot of pho places I’ve been to don’t seem to take the time to make a good sauce and they are usually very peanuty and overly thick, but this one had all the right elements which was light and tasty.

Ha Cafe is a hidden gem thats found in the Old Orchard Shopping Centre on Kingsway and Willingdon in Burnaby. With all of the other development going on in the area, I figure its only a matter of time before they redevelop this old-school shopping complex.Whenever someone mentions chicken wings in Vancouver, the comparisons to Phnom Penh always come up. The Spicy Chicken Wings at Ha Cafe are pretty good but dont quite compare. The wings are encased in a nice crust that is more crunchy than it is crispy. The Special Beef Noodle Soup comes with beef brisket, rare beef, tripe, and beef balls whereas the Beef Stew Noodle Soup has chunks of beef brisket, carrot, and radish. The large bowl of noodles is perfect for warming your tummy and the broth has a good flavour to it.Overall, I quite enjoy my meals here. Take a look at our last visit here. pennyandrusty.wordpress.com

I’ve always went around this location, and always wondered about this place, but never tried it, so one day i decided to give it a try, the place was quite empty, went there on weekday morning ish like around 11am and i was the 3rd customer in the restaurant, definitely i was looking at the menu, really tempted to try their pho, but opted for the rice instead, and yeap, Had the lemongrass chicken, fried egg, shredded pork, and also spring roll, the food came within 10 minutes i think, and first impression the portion is decent, definitely average compared to other pho places, and the smell, is similar, first bite of the lemongrass chicken, oh man maybe i haven’t ate pho for a long time, it was great, the lemongrass is just right not too strong, the meat was tender and juicy. Perhaps i was hungry as well that made everything in the plate was good, the shreded pork is also nice but at the same time there’s nothing much you can do to a shreded pork. a good shreded pork is a good shreded pork. everything else is good, spring roll is crunchy on the outside, and a little bit thicker skin but it’s definitely alright. love the food in here will definitely come back again to try their pho next time. mangkr.wordpress.com
