20180728 Saturday. My boyfriend, me and our friend had a dinner at Hon Sushi. The food was better than we thought. We enjoyed our dinner there.Hon Sushi is a Japanese restaurant on Kingsway St., Burnaby. It served All You Can Eat Sushi before. After changed the ower a few years ago, it began to serve both Japanese and Korean dishes. We had Chicken Cheese hotpot and special rolls (Volcano Roll) to share. Chicken Cheese Hotpot was OK in the super large portion. The chicken part had too much sauce. The Volcano Roll was our favorite. It was in super large portion, included three parts: Spicy Salmon Sashimi, Salad, and Roll. It was made by Cucumber, avocado, deep-fried prawn, asparagus, crab meat, salmon, cream cheese, and red bell pepper, topped with spicy salmon. The sauce was very tasty and fresh. It was a great combination. Three people shared this dish.In summary, we had a good experience dining out at Hon Sushi. The price of the food was a little bit expensive. All the food together was like $71. food.belindajin.com
I ordered GamJa Tang (medium size for two) for take out and the container is not even half-filled. $20 for such little portion. The soup has only 3 pieces of pork backbones, half of uncooked potato and very very little veggies( I think I could almost count the veggies inside the soup). It can barely feed one person and its super spicy ( I wasnt given any options on how spicy I would like). I was really disappointed and felt like a waste of money. I would not recommend anyone to this restaurant.
Haven’t tried the Japanese food here, but I had the Korean food and it was delicious. Good atmosphere, good service, clean restaurant, and private tables. 5/5 based for the tasty Korean food I had here.
Tasty place for Korean food but just average Japanese food. The haemul pajeon is really good with decent seafood and crispy edges. The honey garlic soy chicken wings were also good but not as crunchy as I would’ve liked — flavour was spot on though.
Seating area is nice and spacious , the restaurant is really clean. They offer good service, they offer fair price, and the food is really good.
The sushi itself is just great. I ordered mostly nigiri sushi. Rice was properly cooked. Fish tasted great. I’ll definitelycome back one more time to this place. They did great website for online order, so you can check it out.
We came with my girlfriend to eat sushi in our neighbourhood. I took Awesome roll and Chicken Teriyaki, It was really delicious. Great customer service. Defiantly gonna come back!
