Beware of service. We had table of 5 with a toddler aged 2 making that 6 of us. The food was ok but it was the service that was horrible. We had a server who helped us the entire time and when we went to pay, another girl took our payment. To our surprise, we couldnt change the tip amount when paying by card so we were going to tip by cash instead. We told the cashier that. We requested for the paid bill so we can properly tip but the cashier gave us the card machine receipt which had no information of our order. We asked for the bill where it showed what we paid for and the cashier reluctantly gave it to us. We scratched our head about it and then realized that they automatically charged tip on top of the bill. And from what Ive read from other reviews they do that to everyone who pay by card. Now the cashier wanted us to double tip and not even tell us that. We decided not to leave an additional tip as the service wasnt that great to begin with. The cashier walked by our table and did a full circle to check for an additional tip. When she realized that there wasnt one there she mumbled under her breath in Vietnamese that we were liars. Little did she know my wife understood and we had a very unwelcome conversation about why we were the lairs when they automatically charged us tip and was expecting an additional tip. She never told us that. Even denied that she called us liars. She even walked away from us mid conversation. She said that they charge when they have a party of 6 or more but again from another review they automatically charge when its paid by card. Also we only had 5 adults with a toddler. Are they really charging us a 6th person?! Ill never come back to Pho Boi. I hate the feeling of being cheated. And this establishment really tries to cheat you in doubling your tips.
