came in during dinner, it was because the place that initally wanted to go is closed and my relative want to eat chinese food, so i kind of know what he likes in a food, something a little bit bland but the taste of the natural spices that is a little bit underwhelming, a definitely a little bit of hunan/szechuan spice, so definitely s&w was along kingsway, chose this restaurant, then ordered only a few items, veggies, and kongpao chicken. everything is definitely alright, the price might be slightly higher than i thought but still within range, overall the place is okay and service for chinese restaurant i would say is superb! should try their huoguo yu as well, is definitely decent. mangkr.wordpress.com
They asked for more tips even their service are bad. Tea tastes like just washed dishes and over night. Always say NO when I asked for pea tips. I would love to pay more tips when I recieve good service. It’s RUDE that they ask for it and even more worse they don’t service well. Foods are normal and oilly. Plates and cups are dirty. One bucket of rice are kind of same with half bucket. Trust me, never go to this place. At least I won’t.
Food was below average and incredibly overpriced. Service was slow. Food took long to come out. Place didn’t seem very clean. When I paid the bill I tipped low because my tipping is based on quality. The staff made a huge stink and tried to pull out the victim card on how they required tipping to earn an honest wage. No. Your owners are responsible for paying you a living wage. Your prices are CLEARLY marked up to reflect this and then you show terrible manners when clients decide to not pay more for lacklustre service?This kind of behaviour makes the food taste bad. Never coming back again. Oh and if you do come here – tip less because of their quality and see how they treat you.
This is good place to grab casual Chinese food. It’s very busy place and couple of times, we have to wait to be seated. My favourites there are the spicy chicken with red chilli pepper and their pig feet with chilli pepper. I did not like their fish with vegetables soup or hot pot though. They make food spicier than other Chinese restaurants. The place is very crowded and can get very noisy. Their decor is underwhelming and atmosphere is noisy but if you just want casual and good food, this is a good place to try.
Although the food was good, but I dislike the fact that they ask for more tips even though I already gave $5 on a $55 order! I would never sit in again ever
