i find there are too many boba and tea places in vancouver, and only some are definitely special and a little bit special. this location is definitely a prime location where it’s located inside a foodcourt, one of the better foodcourt in vancouver i must say. and drink wise i think it’s decent but again not a sweet tooth person. i’d prefer another main meal with two drink’s price. mangkr.wordpress.com
Came to crystal mall and got thirsty. Have no idea what to drink so i ordered passion fruit green tea. Its sweet but I just like the taste of it with the sweetness.
Extremely Rude Barista. Very bad service today. I asked for a Yogurt-Flavored Black Tea, and picked up another drink for my friend. When I came to pick it up, I noticed my drink looked exactly like black tea, without a hint of yogurt. I walked away, thinking perhaps it doesn’t look like yogurt, but had yogurt flavoring added into it. After taking a sip, I confirmed it was just Black Tea. I debated whether to complain or not to my friend, and decided to. When I came back to the stand, the lady who worked there (a mid-aged asian lady), gave me a feeling that she wasn’t going to be pleased. The conversation went like this: me: Hi, is this yogurt black tea?lady: *glares at me* NO, you asked for Black Tea ONLY. me: *surprised* Uh…no, i didn’t. i asked for yogurt black tea. lady: NO, YOU ASKED FOR BLACK TEA. me: *stares as her in disbelief* Uhh…NO, I didn’t. I specifically squinted for the yogurt word. I said YOGURT (in Chinese) Black Tea. lady: NO, you said BLACK.me: *gives up*Very bad service. She is basically insinuating that I was trying to get a free drink, or did not like the Black Tea so tried to change it. Did not even try to keep the rudeness out of her tone. Also, she told me what I ordered, when I know what I said. Will NEVER revisit.
Miscues And Lukewarm…. Crystal Mall has several popular spots in its food court, and on the far periphery is Tea Plus, serving what else, bubble tea. The problems of not dealing out receipts or order numbers is very clear here. After being told that it would be five minutes for my drink to be ready (a hot milk tea), I decided to do a loop of the nearby food stalls to scout out my meal. I was back in a few minutes only to see a trio of ladies arrive at the counter and get their drinks, also of the hot variety, and walk away a minute later. Perplexed, I asked was one of those mine? The guy at the counter drew a blank stare and asked me was mine hot? Obviously, he’d forgotten my order and hastly started making it from scratch. Was it the rush that caused my hot drink to be way lukewarm and thus disappointing? Won’t be back…
