I’m sorry, I’m not a fan. I don’t understand the hype. I lined up for nearly 40 minutes on a weekday evening. The very first time I tried their cheesecake was in Malaysia (which had no line ups), so I already didn’t have great expectations. The cheesecake was not jiggly or wiggly, the taste of cheese is very light (lighter than other Japanese cheesecakes I’ve had), I didn’t find it fluffy, it did not melt in my mouth. However, it was soft. Why is it that I’ve heard many good things of this cake but I did not experience it?On to more positive things. I liked how the cheesecake wasn’t very sweet and I didn’t feel overly stuffed afterwards. I also really liked how they have large open windows so that people in line had something to do – watch them prepare their products. It was interesting watching their line of production! And yes, I agree, the Uncle Tetsu logo is pretty cute.Nevertheless, I would eat the cheesecake if it was in front of me but I wouldn’t line up for it and probably wouldn’t buy it even if there were no lines. I am down for giving the madeleines a try next time! secondspls.blogspot.com
