NEVER GO HERE!. Let me keep it short and simple. Their sushi is horrible and the staff is horrible. Ive been a loyal customer to this restaurant for a while so I wouldn’t be saying this if I didn’t mean it.I usually order Crispy Roll, and I asked for extra sauce and came back home with no sauce on the sushi at all. Keep in mind, this happened not once, but FIVE TIMES. If someone has continually messed up your order, it is no longer a petty one-time mistake, but a reason to believe that they simply cannot make good sushi or the sushi you requested. The manager Sona Parks, tall Korean lady with short hair, did not know how to accommodate me, she and her kitchen staff even laughed at me when I spoke to them regarding my complain. HOW RUDE! I don’t know who runs this place, but SIR/MADAM, I highly recommend you to hire new employees.You just lost a loyal customer.
My Fave for Sure!. I’ve been to a lot of sushi restaurants. Most with bad service or bland food. Sometimes both. Fresh Box in Highgate has the best sushi I’ve ever tasted and the staff are GREAT! I go there regularly and will continue to do so. Those of you that don’t like it? No tastebuds?
Perfect location – right across the courtyard from my gym, and yoga studio! Very affordable and probably the BEST Crispy Rolls I’ve had to date ..and I’ve eaten my fair share of sushi! (:
I’m impressed. You are greeted by friendly staff. The rolls are very fresh as indicated by the name of their store. They are quick and the food is quite excellent. I ordered the house roll and the crispy roll. They were delicious. I’d definetly come back. The washroom is clean FYI .
EXECELLENT TAKE OUT SUSHI. A tiny sushi place at Highgate Mall by the Save-On. There isn’t much room for dining in but for take out orders, they are fast & the quality of the sushi in my opinion is great. Their BC rolls & spicy salmon or tuna rolls are fantastic & the price is right. The only trouble I have here is that my favourite menu item is actually not on the menu. This is the Maguro Age. It’s written on a white board with some other specials to the right of cashier & it’s hard to notice.
You Don’t Get What You Pay For. I have to say, I love sushi and hate bad sushi, this is one of them,(hate) I thought I give this restaurant a try since Nau sushi was closed. I ordered Dynamite roll and a BC roll and California roll. The rice tasted old. The BC roll had very little Salmon in the roll put lots of California roll filler same as the dynamite roll very little shrimp and lots of California roll filler. Never again, as the old saying goes fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. never again. To like this place you really have to be in a hurry and not have any real taste for sushi
Quick, Fresh and Easy…. For a relatively small space, Fresh Box certainly churns out the orders in a timely manner, much of it for to-go or pre-ordered customers. While in the neighborhood around the lunch hour, stopped in for a quick sample – a 3pc nigiri set and a skinny California roll for under $7 inclusive of taxes. Not bad tasting though the rice was not well seasoned, but the fish itself was fresh. For what it is, a quick in-and-out sushi joint for those on the go, it fits the bill and a welcome change from competing sandwich-to-go places out there.
