My Box Was Not Fresh (Take-out). For a first impression, not good!I work in New Westminster, a short drive from Fresh Box Sushi. First time ordering from here, I got the sushi lunch box for $11.95. Firstly, my order was missing the miso soup, and secondly, the seaweed salad I was looking forward to was substituted by the lesser lettuce salad, both of which were the most offending errors. Thirdly, the texture and taste of the salmon, tuna, and shrimp sushi was as expected, but the rice seemed undercooked. Lastly, while the amount of sauce was nice, the chicken teriyaki was smaller than expected, and wasn’t prepared with that crispy skin that adds to the flavour. At least the tempura was more than expected, and tasted great for its temperature.Granted, my co-worker said it was smoking busy when she picked it up, which may account for the un-freshness of my lunch box. But I wouldn’t order take-out from here again, though I’d give it a try for a sit-down dinner if I’m in the area.
