Chicken and waffles were delicious! The batter was perfectly light and so was their honey mustard. The belgian waffle was soft on the inside and crunchy on the outside. Their country fried steak was disappointing. The steak was nothing special. Their pancakes tastes OK. Service was ridiculously slow. We only came here as it was on our way back to Vancouver.

Nothing special. I’m just being honest here: this place isn’t a good value for your money.I know of many other places in town that offer breakfasts and really nice prices. This place though, man.. I guess if you really dig their pancakes it’s cool, but I don’t think they’re that good.So I ordered a standard breakfast. Sausages, two fried eggs over easy, bacon.. maybe hash browns? I can’t even remember. And on the side of course you have your pancakes. They looked great. But upon taking the first bite, bite one, I considered that maybe IHOP was not my bag. It’s kind of like when you get a mouthful of a peanut butter; you have this thick mass of mushy cake stuff in your mouth. You’re trying to chew it a bit to break it down some but it just keeps absorbing more moisture and becoming worse.Yes, this sound completely ridiculous but I’ll own it: IHOP’s pancakes are too cakey. They didn’t taste all that exciting. I guess I’m just used to the ones I make at home maybe..? The rest of the plate wasn’t special either. Standard breakfast fare. All that aside, my main gripe is with the price. I just don’t feel like a standard breakfast and a couple of pancakes should have cost as much as it did. I’ve gotten much grander portions elsewhere for equal money. It’s not like IHOP is an experience you need to have if you’re out and about. It’s just pancakes. The place was jam packed though. I guess that’s good. It’s nice to see people really getting into a restaurant like that. And even with all the people in there our service was lightning quick. I can appreciate that. There are good people there.Yeah, so if you want pancakes and you’ve never had IHOP before, give it a try if you want and see how you like it. Otherwise, look elsewhere. There’s not much else for you here.

Awful service. I came here once… and only once. The server at Ihop was AWFUL! Upon arriving, she gave every person in our table a survey to fill out. It asked for our names, e-mail addresses, and other personal information that I did not want to give out. So my friends and I ignored the survey and started looking through the menu. The waitress came back a few minutes later, but she refused to take our order until we filled out the survey. I told her politely that I didn’t want to fill it out, and I just wanted to order some food. She became quite angry and told me that her manager would be very mad at her if she didn’t get us to fill out the forms, and she refused to take our order until we filled them out. She gave out pens for us to use and left us to fill out our forms. She didn’t even take our drink orders. We filled out the forms with fake names and addresses so that the waitress would take our order. She finally took our order but did not give us our drinks and did not come back to see how our food was. Since when is it required to give out your personal information if you want to be served? I hope this woman was fired. Either way, I will never return to this location.

Great breakfast spot! Our family favorite. We have never had an issue with the service or food at the Abby IHOP.

Terrible service! do not eat here. Waitresses don’t listen to what you say.

The service was lousy, the food cold and the wait was way too long for food & the bill. Over all a very unsatisfying meal

On the fence.. I want to like this place. The waitresses remember you and like you and smile at you and seem like they care about you and are willing to strike up a conversation and laugh with you, but sometimes half your order doesn’t make it to you and you’re left wanting refills. The rest of the time, things are pretty good.If you come in at 7:30 and they’re closing at 9 though, don’t expect them to give a damn that you’re there. They’re too busy preparing for close to serve you. They might as well just have shut the doors and not let you in, ’cause they sure don’t want to deal with you, and they’ll do the bare minimum it takes to get you some food. I don’t know why they don’t just close at 7 and spend the next 2 hours closing in peace and quiet, ’cause they’re sure not going to make much money in those couple hours treating people like that. I’d understand that sort of attitude if we walked in at 8:30, but an hour and a half before close? Sure, you’ve got things to do, but the restaurant is open so they can make some money, is it not? (I’m not just being insensitive – I’ve worked in food service on closing shift. It’s not impossible.)
