Update… Won’t be going back anytime soon!!!. I loved, loved, loved the teriyaki chicken over the most wonderful stir fry bean sprouts I’ve ever eaten.Tonight I ordered 2 orders of teriyaki chicken. NO BEAN SPROUTS and the chicken….swear to God if it wasn’t left over from lunch, I’m afraid to know. It was NOT good. VERY DISAPPOINTED!It was 11 bucks EACH and it was two big scoops of white rice and a very very small teriyaki over a few fried carrots slivers and cabbage pieces. It came with miso soup, but who cares?24 Sep, 2013Still Love It!. There are so many bad reviews for this place, but the food is really good. Kiddo and I get the lunch boat #2. Terriyaki chicken over the best bean sprouts ever, tempura, salad and California roll. It also comes with miso soup. This is enough food to fill me and the teenager up for lunch. I love the place. Their ebi sonomono is really, really good too!The only issue is service, sometimes, when it’s busy, but there’s one cook and one waitress. That’s it. Give her a break…the food’s worth it!10 Oct, 2011Very much enjoy this place. A friend and I tried Sehmi for the first time last spring. We both ordered lunch boats, and the amount of food you get for the price (under $10) was really good, and it was even better when everything on there tasted amazing. From the teriyaki chicken to the California roll and tempura, it was very, very good. The miso soup to start was flavorful. I even liked their green salad.We’ve returned, my friend and I, and my daughter and I, several times, and today I did take-out for the first time. California roll, dynomite roll, crispy roll, gomae and goyza. Everything was amazingly good.The only downside is that the service in the dining room is a bit lacking, but I have to say every time we’ve been in, there’s only one woman doing all the work. I can forgive that.I recommend this place.
I could live there. I only order the Korean Chirashi, a mix of sashimi, vegetables and rice with a Korean sauce.They make better Korean Chirashi than anyone else in the Lower Mainland.Service is good, even when they are busy. The food is to die for.The dish, 5 out of 5 Service 4 out of 5
Bad bad bad. We went here for my birthday, big mistake. We should have gone to Suishaya.My sushi and my friends sashimi was bad, tough and poorly cut. My friends wife ordered chicken with yakisoba. The chicken was tough and leathery. This is something that almost every Japanese restaurant gets right so this place is exceptionally bad. I will never go back.
I agree with people’s comments about absolutely horrible service. I will never return even though the food was good.
Good to ok fresh rolls koreanish sushi. Way better than horrid little japan, i do agree service can be hit or miss however the food is ok, i think some of their chef’s are korean. First sushi place I tried in abby and I wasn’t disappointed, however they changed and tried to make it more classy, we didnt get ginger or wasabi unless we asked? didnt try sashimi.
Horrible Horrible Service. I used to come here all of the time atleast 3-5 times a week…. I moved away and did not go there for quite some time,….. The last 3 times i have ordered my order has been so wrong i dont even understand how it was so wrong. I have never complained. However tonight was the absolute WORST i have never had such bad service!!! I would not recommend coming here EVER!!! I kind of have a soft spot because i used to come all the time but every time lately i have been disappointed!! The service is horrible, the food was horrible, DONT WASTE YOUR TIME!!!!
