My friend and I were both seriously underwhelmed by the taste of the food, as well as of the Tej (honey wine) that they served us today. With so many other good Ethiopian restaurants in the city, I don’t know why anyone would wanna eat food that tastes this bad.
This restaurant is more spacious and more lighting than Fassil. We ordered the chicken stir fry, lamb stew and one person veggie combo. Our friends ordered the chicken tangine. The portion is big and the food overall is good. I only wish the flavour is bit stronger but overall it tastes good. The injera is bit more sour than one at Fassil though. The chicken tangine is very tasty, too bad I couldn’t eat it all because my friends ordered it. Customer service is friendly. It was very nice of the waitress to give us extra injera. One negative thing is too much heat in the restaurant, I wish they have a fan or air conditioner in there to cool down the space. I like the food at Fassil a tiny more due to bit stronger flavour and better taste injera but I like the scenery here better. The bonus of this restaurant is they give you utensils and proper cloth napkin
