I’ve eaten here twice now. I love the ambiance… small, cosy and the decor isn’t cliched or kitchy. The leather chairs are super comfy, unusual for your typical mom and pop joint. The first time my pal and I ate here, we had one of the combos with ‘doro wat’, the chicken curry , and the second time we had the combo with ‘key wot’, the beef stew. Both these meat dishes are very spicy. My pal and I both eat and enjoy spicy food but these had us trying to fan our mouths! However we still managed to eat every last morsel! Yeah, it was that good! The owner, Deresse, explained that these two curries are the spiciest so if you want things a little less potent opt for other curries from the great selection here. Deresse is warm, friendly and an amazing chef! The food arrives fairly quickly once the order has been placed. Some have commented that it’s a little expensive but I disagree….. The combo is a great deal as two can eat their fill from this one order. Furthermore, the price-quality valuation is excellent given that these dishes are a labour of love. Go for ice cream afterwards somewhere in the hood to put out any potential fires! Get thee here!!
