Video review on my youtube channel: vancity food crew los cuervos taqueria & cantina.I tried out this place with some friends. We got all of the meat tacos except for the tuna one. The pork and beef brisket tacos were the best in my opinion, the others liked the choriqueso and skirt steak ones as well. They have a limited menu, no chips or guac or anything besides 10 types of tacos, flautas or some tostadas. Service could have been a bit more attentative, but it got busy so I can understand why. However we were completely abandoned and had to wait to order a second round of tacos and even longer to get the bill. If you’re in the area its decent.
Excellent food, and authentic! My favourite Mexican restaurant these days. The head chef is from Tulum, and the other cooks are also from Mexico. The portions are of a healthy size. The food is priced very reasonably and on the low side, though the drinks are priced on the high medium end.I strongly recommend this place to anyone who enjoys Mexican food.
This is one of my favourite Mexican restaurants. The setting is fun and colourful, and service is casual. What sets this place apart is that The quesadillas and tacos are uniquely delicious. The combination of flavours and textures in the filling is like nothing I’ve had before. When I asked the server how authentic it is she told me that the chef and other kitchen staff are Mexican. So that’s authentic enough for me. Also there are plenty of vegetarian, pescatarian and heart-healthy choices. I went twice and will have to be back again to show this place to more friends and family.
I can’t vouch for authenticity since I haven’t had tacos in Mexico but these tacos are tasty. Mole was a bit too sweet for my liking. Beef tongue was very tender. Couldn’t see chorizo on chicken and chorizo taco. Wish Poblano were a bit more roasted in corn and Poblano. Overall tasty and filling.
We love Sal y Limon but wanted to try something new so we ventured into Los Cuervos. We waited for over an hour for food with 3 kids and the kids were starting to go crazy. No apologies for having to wait so incredibly long for a bunch of cold tacos. Sorry but I would not recommend this place to anyone and we will definitely go to Sal y Limon next time because we will definitely get our order within the hour. It was so very disappointing. 🙁
Came in late night, still hungry from our previous dinner. We ordered several tacos (bison, fish, prawn and chorizo) as well as some flautas. Food came quickly and the tacos were amazing. Lots of meat and we’ll portioned. The flavour combinations were great and the sauces on the side added to the dishes. Hard to choose between here and Sal Y Limon! instagram.com
For the love of food you must try the churros with chocolate dip! It’s a great place for tacos and cheap eats. Had the tacos, duck flautas, aguachilles and churros. All great.
