This is a small casual restaurant located on Broadway near Main St. serving up a pretty large menu of Thai food. I went there for their lunch specials, which for currently $9.75 comes with your choice from over a dozen entrees and a spring roll. I got their Chicken Cashew Nuts and Chili Pepper Fried Rice (with Beef). The food, while not of the greatest quality, was still more than decent, and I quite enjoyed it. The portions were also very generous, and since I ordered two entrees, I had more than enough leftover for lunch tomorrow (and surprisingly, I actually found the food to taste even better reheated the next day). The seating is relatively limited, so be prepared for some waits when it gets busy.Chicken Cashew Nuts ($9.75):3.5/5This consisted of a generous portion of stir-fried chicken, bell peppers, onions, and celery, and was served with rice and a spring roll. While not exactly caramelized, it was still pretty well-cooked and not at all watery like the version I had at Jitlada. Although the vegetables made up the majority of the dish, there was still a good amount of chicken, which was quite tender and juicy. It was a bit on the saltier side, and I did find the flavours to be a bit one-note (I would have liked there to be some heat and/or sweetness). I also could have done with more cashew nuts.Chili Pepper Fried Rice (Beef, $9.75):3.5/5The dish consisted of fried rice with chili pepper, onions and other vegetables and your choice of meat (I had the beef), and came with a spring roll. Again the portion was quite generous: you receive a heaping plate full of rice. The rice had a nice fragrance from the onions and pepper, but I personally found it to be a bit on the blander side. I would have also liked a bit more heat. I was very impressed by their beef however, which was quite tender and not at all dry.Spring Roll (comes with lunch specials):The spring rolls that I received was relatively fresh and still hot. It was very crispy, although a tad oily. Unfortunately it was mostly wrapper, with very little filling. Although I was definitely happy to receive them with my lunch specials, they aren’t something that I’d recommend ordering by themselves.
Very pleasantly surprised! Not only is it one of the best prices, the food is exquisite and great portions so you can take leftovers for lunch. The Green Curry might be the best we’ve ever had!
Place is nothing great…Got the curry powder fried rice, do not order this… Its actually the worst fried rice ive ever eaten, im not sure why its even on the menu… Had 3 bites and thru it out…Ordered the thai basil chicken previously, was 3/5
Ran across this hole in the wall since I was suddenly craving Thai food. Didn’t taste like Thai food at all.. I’ve had really good Pad Thai from an amazing Thai restaurant in Regina and this was nothing compared to it! Their pad Thai tasted like Chinese noodles and the restaurant is owned by Chinese people so what more can you ask for right? I’ll just go to Thai express next time when I’m craving Thai food haha! Big portions though I gotta say
Best Pad Thai and Fast Delivery. I absolutely love the Pad Thai here, its spicy and enough for two days.
Love it!. I can’t say enough great things about this restaurant. I eat here a lot and have never been disappointed – the food is great, the portions are healthy, the customer service is fantastic, and the prices are beyond reasonable.
Their Pad Thai is terrible, not authentic at all!. They have the worst Pad Thai I’ve ever had! It tasted like sweet and sour chicken, nothing like the Pad Thai I had in Thailand. Hopefully they will see this review and try to improve it as their shop name is called Pad Thai Cuisine.
