Not at all what I expected for its high rating; this is not the kind of place that should have salmon and sable fish on the menu!Your choices are to come late, pay cover and listen to loud local music (fine) or go early like we did and listen to overly loud sound check through the meal. The server was very sweet and really made an effort, but had to go ask for every question I had (like what’s the house red, and what dips do you have for wings (none)).The ribs weren’t bad, but could have used more sauce (please use warm water, not cold when bringing out a finger bowl), and the patty was way to small for a $15 burger. The worst part of the meal was how obviously old the fry oil was. Our chicken wings and fries were the darkest I’ve ever seen. They seriously must change that oil once a month! I did love both the creme brle which was perfectly brle’d and the espresso martini which the server kindly altered for me to include baileys.

Food delicious but service lacking. The food here was great – if you have the time to wait for it. Four of us decided to try this place using a Groupon. For appetizers we had the croquettes – arancini and duck confit, which were delicious, as were the entrees – beef burger and beef brisket (both with organic beef), and the salmon (make sure they have Ocean Wise on hand as the farmed Atlantic crap won’t be worth it). All the dishes were very tasty and we all liked our meals. The Chai Spiced Creme Brulee for dessert was as good as previous reviewers stated (and I’m not a Creme Brulee fan!). However, while the servers were nice, getting service took forever – which seems to be a consistent complaint about this place. I had tried to book a reservation for 3 days but their answering machine was apparently screwed up as was their email reservation system (hmm). Managed to actually talk to someone about an hour before our anticipated arrival to confirm. This was not a good first impression so we headed there with trepidation wondering how much weighting to put on some of the bad reviews we read about this place.Upon arrival, the server (bartender) was very friendly and accommodating. Ordering food & drinks is where the service fell short. They had live music last night (a Sat night) so it’s understandable that it’s going to be busier than usual and service may be delayed, but they should have also anticipated this rather than have only two servers, one of whom was only her first night! It took us 20 min to get our first beers and proportionate delays for anything else we asked – water, ketchup, dessert, etc. Would we return? For the food, yes, but likely on a weekday when it’s not so busy to see how they fare on slower nights. Otherwise this place is only worth trying on a Groupon as it can be very pricey (they initially made an error and forgot to include our Groupon rate; bill then went from $105 for 4 people to $38 – basically to cover our drinks & dessert).

We found this place based on the good ratings. Much to my dismay it was more of a 70% rating. We walked in and found the place to be grungy and dark. The menu looked promising so we decided to try the scallops and prawns as well as the steak frites entrees. At $18 a dish I had high expectations. What a joke! They gave me 2 scallops with 3 prawns and a small side of rice. My gf’s steak had 4 slices of well done steak not med rare as ordered. The 4 slices were not even equal to half a steak. The food was mediocre at best with tiny portions and overpriced. The waiting staff was average but the bartender was rude asking for my plate after without a thank you. I must say I will never go back to this place.

Justin. Mussels taste good. The comfortable high-backed dark brown sofas create a dining atmosphere that is both lively and refined. Strongly recommend!

We have just finished our diner the sable was moist and tender the flat iron steak melt in your mouth good but the dessert chai creme brle was the best full of flavor and delicate excellent and even better with the live music worth revisiting often
