Where to start. . . I have lived in the neighborhood for 3 years now and I have been to the 5 point many times. Twice I have had to leave the restaurant after sitting at a table and not even being acknowledged by a staff member for over 30 minutes while the restaurant wasn’t even busy. Another time I had the worst service of my adult life here, where the server was complaining to us about her day and her coworkers while we were eating and she got our orders all wrong which happens… but she decided to blame us and how my friends lisp made it hard to get the order right.. then went on to blame her coworkers. I work in the service industry also and I found that to be in really poor taste. The food here is good.. nothing special.. and the indoor atmosphere is alright as well. Where this place is a winner is in the summer they have a great patio. Honestly I avoid it unless I want to sit outside.
The food was pretty bad, I expected it to be average because bar food. However, it was much worse than I expected. The wings were overpriced and overcooked – I never had such dry and chewy wings before. The grilled cheese tasted like too much melted cheese sandwiched in two slices of grocery bought white bread. Having to pay about $30 for the meal was ridiculous.
Welcome to the five point on main street. The bbq wings are to die for but this pizza was really on point – so filling and flavourful. Great music, lots of different brews and great patio vibe rain or shine. Check it out! #fivepoint #mtpleasant #mainst #local vancitydives.com
