They offer a 100% gluten free menu with locally sourced and organic ingredients. My girlfriend and I were passing by here to kill some time before my tattoo appointment. It’s a cute little place and it’s set up very nicely with high quality items.I got the chocolate raspberry cupcake and a regular coffee. Mind you it came to 7.20 which is pretty expensive but the ingredients are definitely better for you. My cup cake was absolutely delicious and my coffee was a great start to the day.I would definitely return for their baked goods. I support gluten free buisness here in Vancouver.
For the lemon lavender cupcake, the lavender is on top of the white vanilla icing; the icing is a bit sweet – taste like sugar more than vanilla. The lemon jelly curd in the middle of the cupcake tastes real – sour not sweet. The vanilla cupcake base is not sweet; it is better than the icing. The vegan pumpkin cheesecake tart is healthy- the pumpkin cheesecake is smooth, tastes little salty and not sweet. The tart skin is a mix of cocoa, nuts, dried shredded coconut (maybe with dates) which tastes bitter and not sweet. You can taste the real ingredients in the baked goods.I’m impressed that the box they use to put the individual cupcake in is the box that The Noodle Box uses to put their noodles in. The girl behind the counter is helpful and friendly. I would go back to try other baked goods.
Amazing variety. I wanted one of everything! I had not had a bagel in almost 10 years, those were awesome. Took home a chicken pie from the freezer, my husband and I had a fork fight over the last bite. I have food allergies aplenty, The staff was helpful, the gentleman who served us knew his stuff. We shall be back.
Home. I would like to live here. And never leave.12 Aug, 2014Pizza of the Day. I arrived inquiring about their gf/dairy/no added sugar options. Expecting some sort of pastry, I was left with their pizza of the day. As we waited for the pizza to heat up he walked me through their menu and the goods for sale in the fridge. When the pizza was ready he surprised me with an extra piece on the house. Needles to say, I scarfed both down. I shouldn’t have. But I did. I live life with no regrets. I regretted this the very next day.
To pn ot ch. Of all the gluten free bakeries I’ve tried, this is probably my favourite. If you’re missing baguettes, don’t fret, theirs will make a parisian proud, sandwich size! I always pick up an apple fritter too, huge! What I appreciate about this place is the value. The portions are ample. if you need to gain some weight, this shouldn’t be a problem. They’re also generous to their customers. I showed up at the end of the day and they threw in an extra apple fritter, cinnamon buns and a cheese bun. I’m pigging out as I type… Very grateful to have a place like this that knows what the customer wants.Celiac got you down? Check this place out!
Awesome banana bread muffins ideal size, not too sweet and really tender. the peanut butter cookie is a bit of a nuclear bomb kind of tasty. can’t wait to try more of their stuff but luckily for my waistline this place is expensive.
Love the food, sick of snotty staff. Listen, I love the food here. They have the best damn cookie in the world–no oat salted chocolate chip. I defy anyone to find a better tasting cookie, gluten-free or not.But here’s the thing. They have a bin full of toys, a chalkboard with chalk, and high chairs–so they’re clearly trying to be kid-friendly. But every time I enter here with my kids, I get a weird vibe from the staff, almost as if they’re annoyed that we are there. My son recently lost a beloved toy, and thought he’d left it here. When I called to ask if they’d found it, the guy on the phone sounded so uninterested, I could tell he had no interest in helping us out. We ended up going back to see if we could find it. When we walked in, the staff member actually LEFT THE COUNTER AND WALKED OUT INTO THE BACK LANE WITHOUT SAYING A WORD for the entire time we were there. This place is located just steps from Collage Collage, and the Mount Pleasant Family Centre. There are tons of young people with little kids. Clearly, they want to attract this clientele–but you can’t have it both ways. Kids can be noisy, and yes, they can be messy. Deal with it. It’s not that hard to be friendly, polite, and helpful. All this to say, I’m pretty much done with this place. I will miss that cookie, though…
