This place is classy, contemporary and consistent. Always amazing food, I particularly like the excellent quality of their burgers. Love how you can have both fries and salad. Sometimes we don’t make it in time for the specials, it would be so awesome if they anticipated more guests so that we could try them! Otherwise, wow.

I’ve always enjoy the Whip. The location, atmosphere and menu are all very unique. This place is great to come for just drinks or dinner as well. It’s a casual dining with burgers and standard pub fare, but you can tell the food is prepared with integrity and dishes are bursting with flavor. I especially love how most meats are organic! The service is low pressure and the vibe is inclusive and friendly.

I went there for brunch the other day and got the omelet. At less than $10.00 for a dine-in meal you can’t go wrong. The omelet was yummy and so were the hashbrowns. If you’re looking for a yummy reasonably priced brunch I highly recommend this place!

Naomi called me up for brunch today and of course I would say yes! The Whip wasn’t where we intended to go at first but other places were packed so when we saw that there was no line here, we settled down here.It was still early in the day, around 10:30am, but the restaurant was very quiet. Since it’s a bar setting, I would imagine it getting pretty busy at night.Their brunch menu has the typical egg-based dishes along with salads, and burgers. Vegetarian/ vegan options are also available! Naomi went for an Egg Benedict with tomato and avocado, and I tried their Havana Bowl. The Benny came with a slice of orange and a side of sweet potato and potato hash which was done nicely with a crisp outside. The eggs were medium poached, and the yolk comes oozing out when pierced. (4/5)My Havana Bowl has rice, salsa, sour cream, baked beans, melted cheese, scallion and a poached egg as well. The baked beans were so soft and tomatoey, and the variety ingredients in every spoonful is a delicious mix of textures and flavours. (4/5) Service was very welcoming, and the staff was keen on refilling our glasses and making sure we enjoyed everything. The Whip has a unique, hipster atmosphere, great staff and overall pretty delicious food.. I definitely wouldn’t mind revisiting. Only went for drinks, though the food on other tables looked great. Nice list of beers, even had my favourite Montreal import, St. Ambroise apricot! Chill spot that’s great for hanging out with friends.

Really great place for brunch. Had the Havana Rice Bowl and it was delicious and unique. A very affordable brunch place as well for Vancouver. Bright atmosphere and friendly service. Lots of good beer on tap too.

An establishment of palpable self-awareness in its hipster aesthetics but has no awareness of how crappy its breakfast potatoes are. Dry, unpleasant…one would think potatoes are difficult to mess up. The eggs benedict are unpalatable, practically made out of hollandaise sauce. The breakfast, in terms of taste, ingredients, and presentation, were truly uninspired and rough. Would not recommend to anyone.
