Ko’s is one of 3 Japanese restaurants within a 2 block radius in the Murrayville area of Langley. It has the disadvantage of being the one that is not visible from Fraser Highway. These folks are however, worth the search. They offer a comfortable atmosphere (including one private room for maybe, a dozen diners?), friendly service and decent value. On my first visit, a young man in baseball cap and t shirt behind the counter did a good job of preparing my Sushi Combo B, 6 pieces of assorted nigiri and some California roll. Both the rice and fish were well prepared and assembled. I had started with the Agedashi Tofu, which arrived hot and crispy. A generous portion. On my next visit, I learned that Ko himself had returned from what was a less extensive absence than previously planned. So he manned the sushi counter and prepared my Dinner Box C. This came with hot and tasty tempura including shrimp which was perfectly cooked and retained its firmness. The nigiri and California roll were again well prepared but I would not say better than previously. So the young man who is apparently the manager has been doing a good job in Ko’s absence! Ko’s is a good choice (before or after) in the Murrayville area! yeswereeatingagain.com
