Went yesterday for lunch with a co-worker and we both found the food and service great. Had the appy platter and everything was fresh, hot, and everything tasted the way it should. Also had French onion soup and it was delish! Beer was cold and cheap.
It was good til it was bought by the current owners. I ordered a beef barley soup. There should not have a lot of barely in it but a bit. The beef barely soup looked like oat meal (ewwww) where’s some veg or even beef? Not to be found. This is a basic of basic, beef barely soup should not look like oat meal, FYI.
Negative Server, negative food. Since the recent sale of the Hook, the service and food have gone from par to sub par! I overheard the server give some patrons a hard time because one ordered water. Right now she’s batching about the place to kitchen staff about the crappy work conditions. WOW! And now the food… Popcorn shrimp and fries…Terrible! Fries were mushy and the shrimp were not fried at the correct temp and they were gritty. Come on, shrimp and fries. The other waitress was way you better! I think Katie was her name. All in all, this place SCCS!
Nice pub, great food overall, good service. Our meals were great – many had different varieties of the souvlaki dishes. I had chicken, others tried beef and another had shrimp. Only complaint would be that the chicken was salty (but nicely prepared otherwise). Quantities are generous and prices very reasonable. I understand there is a new owner/chef.
This place is GROSS. The kitchen is like someone from a horror movie. Dirty and smelly. Terrible service. The servers are drunk most of the time! Would never recommend this place to anyone. I wouldn’t let my dog eat there.
Used the mobile bandit for $30 worth of food and drink for $15.00 but forgot to read to fine print that it was non alcoholic drinks. Wings were delicious as usual but the bacon wrapped scappols were mediocre. Great karoke on Wednesdays and Fridays! Apotmosphere was great and the staff were kind.
