Consistently fresh and delicious! Been there many times and never had a complaint. If you have the time to sit and be wined and dined, this is where you want to be. The more courses the better!!!

Old, very very old. I have been to the Old Surrey several times over the years, and I have always left feeling disappointed. The food itself isn’t bad, nor is the service, but in no way is any part of the entire experience remotely exciting. The dishes, when considered in entirety, are less fulfilling than they should be.The dishes feature well-sourced meats and seafood, as they all strive for local sourcing; however, the while the quality of the meat is high, it is not exceptional. The plating of the dishes is again, good, but lacks imagination and creativity. Most dishes feature the protein as the sole item worth eating, as the sides and accompaniments on the plate are incredibly boring, and are not particularly complementary to the main flavours. The summer Chateaubriand is probably the highlight of their menu, yet it highlights the failure of their menu to innovate. The flair of finishing the dish at the table should be a show worth a trip to the restaurant, and yet the oppressive atmosphere of the restaurant transforms the experience into a series of awkward interactions. The servers are experienced, but lack the ability to be exciting or youthful, and contribute to the overwhelming feeling that the restaurant is located inside a mausoleum. I have felt embarrassed for the restaurant, on more than one occasion, when the service staff serves my companions and myself dishes that belong in the 1980s or early 1990s. The failures of the restaurant are obvious, and they lie in the inability or unwillingness to innovate the menu or the experience. The food is not bad, nor is the service, but the entire experience is consistently disappointing. Anyone under 50 should definitely avoid the restaurant.

Excellent food. Amazing service. Had the three course special. Stated with the shrimp bisque. Absolutely yum! Came with a perfectly grilled shrimp in the soup. Nice char flavor. Main was beef tenderloin with peppercorn sauce, grilled prawns, organic veg and potatoe croquettes. The potatoes were so good! Only complaint was I wanted one more croquette. Dessert was egg big creme brle. Aldo really good. Hugely recommend this restaurant. It’s warm and cozy. Wonderfully decorated.

Accommodating. The staff were very friendly and accommodating for my dairy allergy. With out any hesitation the waiter gave substitutions they could do for me. The atmosphere was pleasant. Food was very good but pricy. Dinner for 2 plus 2 drinks is $100 plus tip. For a special occasion I will definitely go back

Excellent. This is our go-to restaurant for special occasions. My husband proposed here, and we held our wedding reception here. We’ve been going to the Old Surrey 4 or 5 times a year for about 7 years, and have never had a less than excellent experience. The food is wonderful, and the staff are all exceptional professionals. If you go here you must try the caesar salad made tableside. Highly recommend!

This is a restaurant that has more of a slower fine dinning experience to it, personally I love it but if u don’t like long dinners that are very enjoyable this may not be for you. Very romantic setting, good for anniversaries, birthdays, and valentines day. If you enjoy finer ding I highly recommend this restaurant!!!

It’s not bad. My mother in law took my wife & I here for my birthday.First of all, they have 2 for 1 coupons in the Entertainment book…so you can get a bit of a savings on dinner. The food was pretty good.We had a Ceaser Salad that was made fresh at the table, which was pretty cool. I also had a crab cake as an appy & it was really good!I ordered a steak & thought it was good…and didn’t have room for desert. While the food and service was good, we thought the amount of time in between courses was very long. Perhaps it is supposed to be that way for a bit of a nicer restaurant, but we got in at 6:30 & didn’t leave until after 8:30 or so. I would go back again…maybe minus the mother in law (I hope she isn’t reading this).
