Sushi Line is one of my favorite restaurants in Newton, Surrey. I felt like it provides the classic Japanese food, I really like eat California Rolls and Teriyaki Chicken in this restaurant. I ordered online that because it can get an extra 4%OFF discount, the website of Sushi Line is sushiline.ca, really valuable for me! The website bcrestaurants.ca also provides the other best restaurants in different cuisine and different areas of Surrey area: bcrestaurants.ca/Surrey
Came here on a warm fall evening on Sep 26, 2017. I always want sushi when Im in Van (or the area) so I tried this on a whim and based on the rating (I didnt read the comments). I havent had a ton of experience eating in Surrey so I was hoping this place would meet my sushi craving. When I walked in, I was happy to see a lovely old woman at the till and a younger chef. I enjoy family run establishments and am happy to support them these days. Restaurant was empty. Anyway, I ordered salmon sashimi, toro sashimi, chicken udon, dynamite roll, chopped scallop roll, and another specialty roll (thats how memorable this place was). Food came out quickly. Salmon sashimi was ok. Portion size was good but the salmon itself was just meh. My toro wasnt toro; it was regular tuna. Rolls were a bummer: not a lot of filling and a lot of rice. Shrimp in the dynamite was heavily battered and not really pleasant. The rolls in general were bland. Even the scallop… it was so plain even though there was mayo and tobiko. The udon was good: I would just order a couple of bowls of that next time. Total bill including tax was $48. Pretty crazy compared to what you can get in Coquitlam. I heard the microwave beep a lot while my order was being prepared so Im not sure if that was for my udon or something else. I dont think Id go here again and my lesson on this one is to read the comments!
Just phoning it in…. Nothing about this place shows that any care has been taken in anything… The place seems thrown together and EVERYTHING is just overloaded with Sugar. This is about as bad as it gets. I only tried this place out of necessity. Hopefully if you’re reading this, you’ll try Any of the neighbouring restaurants. Even if they suck, they can’t be as half-assed as this.
Though the service is good, a big part of what I look for in sushi is the rice. Their rice is very bland and kind of mushy. The rolls were small and pretty mediocre as well as the chicken teriyaki(this one was pre-made.. it wasnt very warm).
Good Stuff!. It was absolutely delicious and fresh!I did not miss any vinegar… 😉
