Yellow Chilli. We went in with a party of 10 for a lunch and had a very good experience for the price point. Very good place for a reasonably priced authentic Indian meal, complete with somewhat stressed dcor and family service. I will go back without a doubt.
So good!. I’ve been to many Indian restaurants, and this is by far my favourite. Everything is delicious! I’ve gotten my family and friends hooked on this place. The prices are reasonable. Portion sizes are generous. We’ve never eaten something we didn’t like here. Try the shahi paneer, veg pakoras, kadahi chicken, mango chicken, and veg samosa (which comes with a side of delicious chickpeas). The servers and management are very friendly. Every times I’ve come in this place has been pretty quiet, which is a shame considering how good the food quality is.
Much better options out there. The lunch buffet is very weak. Food is cold, tandoori chicken tasted like it had been made a few days ago and microwaved. Goat curry no meat all bones. Butter chicken tasted very watered down. The veggie dishes were more passable but you can get much better veggie food at a Sikh temple for FREE.The staff was good and the place itself was good.
Buffet is Back in Style!. We frequented this restaurant many times when it was still Bombay Palace, then Bombay Palki. When it changed to Sohi’s Restaurant we were still going, but less frequently as the service suffered greatly in the transition. When Yellow Chilli took over, I will confess we were pretty jaded – missing the great old days of Bombay Palki. Some coworkers went there without me and their reviews were less than encouraging. So we waited, and finally today decided to give the place a chance. What a return to form! Delicous items including Veggie Pakora, Butter Chicken, Tandoori Chicken, Chana Masala, Goat Curry, Vegetable Jalfrezi, and of course all the hot and fresh Naan we could eat.The service was actually outstanding, the price was very reasonable, and I have no room for dinner. We are going to be going back a lot more often!
Great Indian Buffet!. The Yellow Chilli isn’t much to look at on the outside, but it is nice on the inside and the food is excellent. We ate at the buffet on the weekend and was very pleased with the selection and quality. This is the first Indian buffet in the GVR that we have both been impressed with. Even the cold food here were good – which is very rare in Indian buffets (especially the mango fruit salad). We found all of the dishes to be pretty good – the paneer, eggplant and goat curry were very good. The butter chicken was good, though a bit on the watery side. The service was a bit slow, but very polite and attentive. This is one you should definitely take the time to try….especially if you’re in the mood for a buffet at a great price.
Place rocks.. The place is great! Excellent service with respect and the food doesnt cost much. Worth going there
