The food was good, not great, but a little over priced. Unfortunately the service wasn’t great. Wait staff walked past us for about twenty minutes like we were invisible (they weren’t busy). Good location… But that’s about as good as it gets. Plenty of other quality places to check out before you head here
Bring back the Gardien veggie burger!. Last summer the GLC was my favourite place to stop for lunch while we were biking. I am SO disappointed this year to see they took the (delicious!) deep-fried Gardien burger off the menu! WHY?!? I tried the new veggie burger and it was mushy and bland. With few other vegetarian options I’m now searching for a new lunch place is Whistler.
Good location. Location is great over looking the run. Menu was average and the waitress we had was rude. After waiting over 10 minutes to get someones attention we then watched one poor guy ask waitress after waitress who was looking after our area. Finally the 1st waitress agreed to serve us.Food didn’t all come out at the same time. Favorite Aprs. GLC has for a long time been my favorite Aprs venue in Whistler.The food is good – not brilliant but very welcome after a hard days skiing. I’d personally welcome some more picky-nibbles type stuff but that’s a style I dont really see at any aprs bar in whistler. GLC’s squid dish is excellent!The music is variable they have everything from taped music to live acts varying across all tastes and likes. Just because you hate it one time doesn’t mean you will hate it the next. For someone of my tender age (late 40’s) I don’t stand out as being a long way off the age of other people there (unlike one or two other Whistler bars). If you can catch a local band called The Hairfarmers there then DO SO – you have been told. They are excellent.
I had the BBQ chicken burger with waffle fries! Super good!
The food was just OK and certainly not bad. The atmosphere leaves much to be desired. The music is horrible. There are too many other nearby options so I wouldn’t come back here again.
