Food was expensive and serving was too small! Ramen tasted like instant noodles! Were very frustrated! Id suggest you try a different Japanese restaurant instead.
Came here since we wanted for some ramen. We ordered the BBQ char-shu ramen with shoyu soup, and the chicken ramen with shio soup. Overall, the ramen is simple and tasted good. The ramen is not soggy, and just slightly chewy, which is just right. The bowls were surprising big as well.
Probably the friendliest and best service in whistler thanks to Betty who is absolutely a joy to be around. I ordered the spicy chicken an it came out sizzling (on the Sizzling Plate). The vegetables were cooked perfectly and the chicken was moist, tender and as promised spicy. I also sampled the dragon fried roll, although it is not to the same level as sushi village it kicked ass. Everything about harajuku izakaya is excellent. Also Betty is a snowboard instructor so request her cuz she is the nicest, friendliest and most honest person in whistler, bar none.
Nice little place … Great value for Whistler. Off the beaten path and beside a Subway lies this cute little Izakaya. It’s casual, and simple … The menu has a lot of choices, but not ridiculous like at some others …Sushi is average, fresh and tasty. Maki is a little rice-heavy, but also tasty. We also had the Yaki Udon which was rich but a little under seasoned. A timid chef I’d guess …But overall a good experience, and not crazy expensive. Simple takeout and Japanese grocery store attached. 3/5
Great place, very friendly service. Make sure to try their Friday special for half price – amazing deal for about 5$ and very tasty
A Whistler discovery …. I’ve visited and skied in Japan many times, and always appreciated Whistler’s Japanese food options as close approximations to the reakl thing – really fine Japanese food most of the time, in fact. Harajuku just adds to the options. An excellent Japanese pub menu, and everything we had, from grilled mackeral to raw tako, was delicious. A hint of Korean pervades the menu, but if you like kimchi, you’ll be in heaven. Top spot … gortonator-on-wine.blogspot.com
