Good food and great prices with a bustling atmosphere and family friendly vibe. Udon noodles are delicious, sushi is fresh and sashimi portions are very generous. Service is quick and friendly. A nice casual eatery if wanting something quick and easy.
Just a note for any young families thinking of going to Sushi Village…When I was researching places to eat in Whistler, Sushi Village came up as one of the foodie favourites. It was also noted as family-friendly so I thought it would be a good place to take the family there to eat. The restaurat itself is located on the second level. So, for people who have strollers or special mobility requirements, you will need to go through the Sundial Hotel for the elevator. When we got there one Friday evening in July, there were many people waiting. Furthermore, the restaurant does not allow strollers inside but can accommodate it being stored in their back area. Unfortunately, my kid was sleeping in the stroller. So even if we did get a seat, it wouldn’t have worked for us. We end up leaving and going elsewhere. foodgressing.com
Service was awesome. They were completely packed and only could fit us in at the bar but treated us very well. The cuts were great and delicious.
Maybe it’s the best sushi restaurant in whistler, maybe, but there aren’t a lot of sushi restaurant either. I was craving for sushi during my stay in Whistler, so came up to this place and ordered a few items during lunch. Maybe i ordered the wrong items, but the sushi were decent i’ll say. not bad but not very good either.Hmmmm it tasted more to the milder side of sushi. unlike sushi california/sushi town in Greater vancouver where there’s a strong taste in each sushi. The sushi is definitely decent, but nothing wow that will make me come back. the deep fried squid fell a little bit flat though in my opinion.will i recommend this place? no, there’s nothing that makes me excited to come back here either, the sushi taste decent though, definitely not bad. and definitely atleast a 2.5 and 3 at most in my opinion for taste. mangkr.wordpress.com
Don’t bother. This place will not take bookings except for large groups. The typical wait, unless you want to eat very early or very late, is 30-45 minutes – and they don’t let you leave during that time. I ate there once (in a group of six) and the food was ok, but not worth a 45 or even 30 minute wait. They don’t seem to have realised that the booking system was introduced in the first place precisely so that people wouldn’t have to wait. Avoid unless you are blessed with saintly patience and a taste for very ordinary Japanese food.
Terrible service. Went to this restaurant on the weekend – was told to come back in an hour. When we came back in an hour they were very rude about seating us and said we had to be as quick as possible. We decided service was too rushed and got up to leave. The manager was very annoyed and began yelling at us. We will not be going back to this restaurant.
