TodaiSushi replaced myfavourite sushi restaurant in North Delta so I went in the first time expecting to be disappointed — but they amazed me!Their food is delicious, the service is friendly, and they happily cater to the requests of my picky children.I’ve been eating there quite regularly since they first opened and have never had a bad experience. I’ve recommended them to many friends and family members and it is their sushi go-to now too.My only disappointment is that they didn’t continue to offer the home delivery service that was available for a while. I loved using it!As with many sushi restaurants, it sometimes feels a bit small and crowded when it gets really busy but I’ve never had to wait for a seat when dining in and the decor is nice.Some of my favourite foods there are the Tuna Kara Age and Tuna Bite (both are deep fried tuna appies- the Kara Age has just a drizzle of spicy/sweet sauce and a drizzle of amayonnaise-type sauce while the Tuna Bite is coated in just the spicy sauce) and thecaterpillar roll (which contains avocado and salmon sashimi). The dinner boxes make for a nice lunch (served until 4 pm). My currentfavourite is the veggie box with deep fried tofu.My kids love the tobiko there. It is always very fresh, which makes me comfortable ordering it there. This is something I’ve had troublefinding consistency with at other restaurants.Also worth noting — They never use farmed salmon, only wild.
